I mean, sure. Most reasonable gun-owners don't want criminal fucks to own guns. The key question is what is the best way to go about this without also burdening law-abiding citizens? That's the real question. The current gun laws are OK, but in some ways they're stupid (look up SBR laws and AR pistols), and in other ways they're massively underenforced (trying to buy a gun as a known criminal gets you a denial but rarely leads to further prosecution even though lying on the gun buying form (ATF form 4473) is a federal crime itself).
