While I do agree that both the left and right both have tried to supress freedom and individuality , I believe that these values can be achieved on both side. but you seem to focus a lot on conservatives and traditionalist more, it seems we're both guilty of having some bias, so lets agree that the ordinary 9-5 working person does not really care about all of this and just wants to make a good living

not really. Nationalism doesn't have to be conservative, just each country to its people. Also progressive because at this point either we embrace change quick or we're all doomed.
