Yes this too, but there is no point in pre ordering a digital copy of a game. No point what so ever. It's the dev's getting full RRP and giving you the vague promise the game will be good. They already then have technically sold the game without having to release it. There is no incentive at that point to finish the game.

Besides that, supporting epic games by preordering their exclusives is like supporting a dairy farmer who will only sell his cheese in one shop. Which is located in a tiny, hard to get to, mountain top village in Italy.
The buyers remorse only gets worse when you realize, that after going through the effort of fighting off mountain goats and little grandmas carrying half tonne kindling bundles, said shop charges extra for the version of the cheese that has any taste and furthermore offers you a bunch of expensive wrappers to carry it in, if you happen to want to be able to transport to places other than the shop.
