Little known fact - six million jews is a cultural term. It doesnt mean what it sounds like, 6.000.000 individial jews. It wasnt originally intended to be thought of as a number.
Its similar to the old chinese term "the 10.000 things", meaning everything that exists in the world.
Six million in this context just means a very large number of jews died.
But as it stands, its very hard to explain this and still keep the discussion on point. Does it really matter if 6.000.000 jews died or if the nazis just killed every jew they could lay their hands on?
