Definitely not legal cuz just the cord you would have to make would be illegal to use that way. Backfeed generator receptacles need to be female end cuz if they are not and you have the generator running with the end of the cord not plugged in you have metal prongs protruding with 240v potential. Grab it wrong and it can kill you. Not to mention you would not have an interlock on the breaker so you could easily be backfeeding and provider power turns back on and you blow the fuse by the tranformer up the pole (or your generator and all your electronics blow up)
