This movie is incredibly over rated.

The pacing is terrible. Basically nothing happens, and then everything happens at once. We don't see the father slowly lose his sanity and go nuts. He just out of nowhere snaps and decides to go after his family.

Also, in no world is Jack Nicholsan believable as a same loving family man.

I think it's worth mentioning to that it was only recently that everyone started to love this film. Originally it was a massive critical flop, and Kubrick himself hated it.

Only avenger movie i saw was i think the first one. Really bad writing as they went on and on about finding some random unexplained plot device to accomplish the story. What the hell was it called, the interocitor, the continuum transfunctioner?

I disagree, 2 was one of the only movies I’ve ever watched that made me feel legitimately disgusted and I love it for that reason. It set out to be disgusting and it completely succeeded. 3 was complete over the top camp which was really the only place the series could go after two and I found it hilarious.

Hugely better than the force awakens, which was a terrible copy of past work, with a predictable and insignificant solo death. The admiral holdo story arc was awful, and rose was a terrible character, but the movie is otherwise very good. Luke’s appearance and death and both hard-hitting. That double-sun callback was a tearjerker for me

Luke was a whiny bitch in A New Hope. But we got to see him evolve as a character and grow past that. Even in empire he had some whiny parts with Yoda, but he eventually learned and became the master.
episode 8 had some amazing luke scenes and some of the worst. I prefer to just pretend only the theatrical 4-6 exist, plus some of the old extended universe before phantom menace.
