The difference between rap and country is that country actually has historical connections to older genres such as blues and bluegrass. Rap spawned as a form of self expression but not in the same way as real musical genres. You can rap without music backing it up. Country lyrics without backing instruments is just singing.

After seeing some places like that, I hate gangster rappers who made it out but don't change the message with a passion. Motherfuckers glamorizing a lifestyle that destroys children who are raised around it. People are so careless with what they are consuming when it comes to entertainment. A political message constantly broadcasted to you? We call it propaganda and are wary of it's ability to affect us. Calling for violence on the basis of skin color or religion? We call it it a hate crime and strictly punish it. Glamorizing violence in entertainment? Go for it, no problem, it's just music.
I don't advocate for censorship, but damn, rap is a HUGE wakeup call for our country, something is wrong if rap lyrics are normal and accepted.
