Saw these for a sale (40% off) and paid $1499 (was $1999). Did I get a bargain?

Repost.

case included?

>samefag here
either way, it's a pretty good deal

40% off 1999.paid 1499.
You should have paid 1199..
I'm a Nigerian prince and you have just won 10million dollors. I'm going to need your credit card details to transfer the money. Please post them on here

buying top of the line graphics cards are a scam
unless youre going to play vr, which is also a scam

not even close, man. i have hardware that out ranks that set up b 4x and i paid 1800. bomb ass full glass case and unnecessary sexy rgb corsair fans as well

>everything i can't afford is a scam
though vr is still early access and mostly for people with money to piss away, i will say that there are a handful of games that make it worth it. i have almost 200 hours played in steamvr atm. would have more if these kikes making onward would just fucking give us tdm for christ sake. my time would triple

Stale pasta is stale.

>i like spending unnecessary amounts of money on things so i can brag about it online
you can pretend you're some kind of pioneer, but until VR is both less resource intensive and/or cheaper, companies are not going to invest time nor money into making the platform better

>completely avoids the fact that there are games worth spending the money if you have it
bro, we get it, you are poor and mad about every one that can spend money but just because you can't have it doesn't mean it isn't worth it lol.

shit, the vive is only 500 now, it was 800 back when i got it. you poor bitch lol
>i am too poor to pay what i would for a console for vr
>curse every one who has moneyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

lol i thought the same. you literally could barely run vr with that. i had a 1070 and a 1080 before and i had some problems. now that i have the 2080 it's smoother than a crab's asshole

Here I am with a 1050ti

Overpaid.

sheeeeit. i feel for you, brother. i hated the fps dips, even in games like farcry. it pained me to try to max out and only get 20-30 frames. this 2080, though, despite the raytracing being non existent in gaming right now...i can pay my 2d games on a virtual theater screen with another theater screen in the distance playing movies from my second monitor with veeeeeery little hiccup. fucking. orgasmic.

I paid 1200 for a 1070, ryzen 5, motherboard, 32GB of ram, case and cooling. All new. You overpaid. Unless this is in yen or some shit.

you do realize you don't need that much ram, right? you only really need 16. and on that point, maxing the hz is also pointless

I hope this is a troll because if you paid $1499 you got fucked.

Bestbuy sells a prebuilt with twice the ram for less than that.
If you build it yourself you should be able to buy the parts for about $800.

You're also missing necessary parts for your build.

I agree

I max out 32gb daily.

Only paid 95$ for it, 1060s were ~300 at the time so I don't mind as much.

GTX680 2gb. Get on my level.

i can't honestly say i would know the difference, i've only ever done 16, but in all my research every one has always said 32 is overboard unless you're doing a ridiculous amount of things and since i have yet to have problems with memory i haven't taken the time to try 32 out.
it's not a terrible card, but it's getting a little out of date with today's games. not all..with the shit ports..but the ones that aren't poorly optimized need a bit more power.

If you have a ryzen cpu it is worth upgrading ram speed until about 3200 as the cpu will use the extra headroom. If you go intel getting anything above 2800 is unnecessary

Riva TNT 2

i have intel, and my cpu is the last thing i need to upgrade actually, i only have a 3.4 but with aforementioned vr domination, i haven't run into problems that rush me into upgrading. i just built this one a couple months ago. but the 3.4 is getting up their in age.

also i know little about amd builds

At best that is worth maybe $800

That was a hell of a deal.

thank god you got a never obsolete machine. Now you never have to worry about buying another computer
