There are a few android apps, where it starts recording the camera, but lets you lock your phone (at least on my s7). Then i'd just press record, and leave it somewhere natural but with a good view. If anyone gets suspicious and tries to fuck with it, it will just look like a locked phone, and there's nothing they can notice without guessing your pass and opening the specific app.
