I think these kind of accomplishments are for those people who want to prove others that they're worthy of something. Just like regular sheep goes to work everyday only because "that's the way and people won't respect me otherwise" and/or you have to spend money on shit all the time. You need to have some kind of degree from an institute to prove others that you're "smart". All it proves that you're determined to do something. 9/10 of cases those preconceptions turn out to be false and people realise that only when they get old.

Personally, I have an average IQ, something like 110 (it’s been years since I took an IQ test), I’m 42 years old and I earn just about 100K/yr.
