So here's my situation. I have $2500 saved up and I want to move out of California. I have my own vehicle, and i'm willing to move anywhere on the west coast.
What cities would be best? I need a place where I can find employment and a cheap room to rent. So far I was Arizona, but idk.
why would you want to move there only for them to take half of your money when you step foot in the state?
Ryder Jenkins
I'm also considering this. My two choices are Phoenix and Vegas/Henderson area. Phoenix has the better jobs but shittier summers and income tax. Vegas is better for night life and activities but isn't as major as Phoenix is when it comes to jobs
Jacob Hall
Its pretty expensive and there's too much traffic in all major areas already. Go to Oregon or Washinton
Jayden Clark
Yeah, Seattle and Portland metros don't have traffic......
Cameron Phillips
I'd recommend Texas, Utah, and Iowa If you want to start a new life. It is the best compromise between a low cost of living and having shit to do / jobs. If you had to cling to the west coast though try Tuscon, Albuquerque, Glendale, or Vegas. The rent is cheap there I guess.
Kevin Mitchell
I'd assume better than ca, the whole west coast sucks for driving
Tyler Barnes
WA and OR have some of the most expensive rent on the surface of the earth.
Jackson Wood
Why moving out? Fed up with the liberal utopia?
Grayson Smith
Outside of Los Angeles and San Francisco, CA isn't that bad. That's like saying NY State traffic is bad when it's just NYC.
>Tuscon, Albuquerque
Not OP but I've considered NM but it's too far out from anything.
Luke Rogers
Well. Those personally are the tolerable options OP has if he wants to stay near the west coast and not be in a bumfuck desert but it up to him
Gavin Sullivan
In Seattle. It's fucked.
Logan Rodriguez
I work for a good company in North Phoenix. It's warehouse work but we another hand in the shipping department. Not the greatest pay, but incredible benefits and great environment. Come through and be live the desert suburban life.
Thanks for the suggestions, lads. I was thinking of Corvallis,OR or Portland. I can get a farming job there pretty quickly. It wouldn't be ideal for the long term, but it's a start. My only issue with the state is it's liberal stupidity and rain. At least in Cali it's nice fucking weather.
Arizona has always been a place i'd like to move to. But the heat is absoltely horrendous there. Vegas isn't much better in that regard. Vegas is also a very ugly looking city, and i'm not sure how quick I can find work there.
And yes, I am leaving California because of these retarded libs. I'm 32, I've had enough of this shit.
Kevin Gray
lol no
I just got divorced not too long ago and I need to get away from the city.
Luke Young
Just apply. I applied with my California address and still got calls
Oliver Clark
here's the best tip I can give you for moving to California
Don't
Just go somewhere practical, like Vegas
Ayden Miller
Moving to? No, no, no. I'm moving AWAY from California.
Dylan Sullivan
dubs checked. Las Vegas can be good for jobs, you can make $20/hour parking cars at a casino if you're lucky. Phoenix has a lot of tech companies setting up offices there, so you could get a pretty good job if you have tech skills. summers in both places suck
i would consider one the towns near Seattle if you like Seattle- there is pretty good light rail from places like Puyallup, you could work in Seattle and live someplaces more affordable. Sacramento is nice if you like nice weather, less fun than LA or San Diego but a lot more affordable
Jeremiah Turner
Denver, Salt Lake City, and Reno if you hate illegals
Jayden Ward
Reno is a shit hole. Great place to live if you love meth heads and crime.
Ayden Fisher
Need a name for the company.
Bentley Ross
Protip: Don't move to California.
Michael Russell
Fucking read
Isaiah Anderson
Don't think nm is coastal at all.... 2 states away from not being landlocked
Xavier Ross
Cute
Jeremiah Moore
Don’t move to Colorado
Oliver Foster
Rural Oregon is like the south. Real racist. Still better than Portland though.
Jackson Allen
It's true. Too many people are moving to colorado.
Luis Reyes
>wanting to live ib California
Just kill yourself Biggest homeless problem in the nation, the state with the most debt and is only being propped up econonically by Hollywood and real estate, and people literally shitting in the streets in San Francisco and LA.
Eli Johnson
Never realized just how retarded this place is until now. You're the 3rd person to advise OP to move to Cali.
Ethan Harris
As someone who lives in Arizona, I'd highly recommend it.
The summers aren't that bad it last from June to late September. You can wear shorts all year round, and there's hardly any niggers. Houses are still cheap in comparison and jobs are abundant.
If you're not a faggot you'll find more hot chicks here than most of California if you hangout around Scottsdale, Tempe, Chandler, and Gilbert.
Jaxon Ramirez
$2,500 won't get you shit you fucking idiot, anywhere you move is going to require you have paystubs from a job you've held onto for more than a couple of months, and rent anywhere on the west coast is going to be more than even $1000 a month unless you want to live with niggers
Grow up
William Bell
What about as north as you can go in arizona? There any areas that are like the sierras with trees and mountains where it actually gets cold and doesn't reach 120° in the summer? Ive heard about black flag days I live north of la right now and im fucking done with heat im thinking about moving to southern idaho currently
Michael Russell
thank you for dosing this idiot with real life inb4 this faggot ends up living in a house with 14 other methheads, sucking dicks to pay rent in multnomah county Oregon
Colton Gutierrez
Try SF or LA. For $2500 you could rent a pretty nice cardboard box for a few weeks. That should give you time to start your acting career.
Logan Price
Little kids like you shouldn't be allowed to comment on adult matters. You do know that it's possible to rent a room, right? 2500 is enough to find a room to rent and to also find a job.
Go see the world, faggot.
Evan Morales
motherfukken lol'd at this
Tyler Reed
I'm moving back to vegas after living in Seaside OR for a year. I wanna live up and down the coast while working my business, maybe we can meet up if ya do that. I know tons of people in vegas/north las vegas, Summerlin and Henderson/Old Henderson
Bentley Nelson
Why don't you dose yourself with some dick? Holy fuck. Have you morons ever rented a room before? Plenty of nice rooms to rent in Phoenix or Portland or wherever, and all of them for 500-700 monthly.
Retards abound up in here.
Jacob Lopez
Hell yeah, brotha. If I do decide on Vegas, i'll be sure to let ya know. You got a throw away email I can reach you at?
Hudson Fisher
Honestly man it's beautiful up north in Prescott and Flagstaff but the work just isn't there. The heat does suck dick don't get me wrong but you get used to it, and I'm originally from LA as well and it took me about 2 years.
It's just a better life here dude if you can deal with the heat. I own a house here, met my fiance here, have a great job here making about 150k a year, and there's plenty of shit to do.
Lincoln Morgan
Not on the west coast you fucking moron you obviously don't know how expensive the west coast is even in the most buttfuck areas of oregon and washington, rent for a shit apartment is still $700+ a month And you will need paystubs And rent isn't all you fucking pay for, either Gas electricty water garbage car insurance cable internet groceries $2500 would last this idiot kid about a week after he spends all the money on gas to get up there
Ayden Flores
I love this post
Thomas Howard
Ive lived a lot of places. If you want to be successful in life, id search for jobs in cities youd be satisfied in. Send resumes, connect on linked in, get some leads, then get in the car and go once youve landed contacts with a few short term subleases. Itll take a good portion of cash to get there, but if you camp along the way its doable and can be fun. I'd suggest leaving in June.
Once youre there, have a place, a job, and can save cash again, you can start upgrading. Do your hobbies. Buddy up with people also interested in your hobbies to form a friend group. Get a gf. Stash cash, max out 401k...
One day figure out why the hell you wanted to move in the first place.
P:s Seattle has a lot of traffic. # of cars the road was designed for maxed out twenty years ago, then amazon brought the drones.
what kinda work you doing? aerospace engineering here i know there's some places out there i could work at i just can't handle the fuckin heat and dryness anymore my wife and i are so sick of California and it's inhabitants I looked at Prescott actually, but I'm looking for a place where it actually has a winter with snow And i like mountain areas with trees
wow first fucking result for Portland room share, $680 with all utilities included. You don't need a fucking pay stub to rent a room from someone.
Jesus christ you need to get out more.
Jose Long
So how Upscale is Scottsdale? I always heard it's a rich white people enclave in the desert
Evan Sanchez
good fucking luck chief lol
Joseph Perry
If you go to the midwest, that's enough rent for 5 months. Oregon/Washinton is more of the same inflated horseshit.
Liam Miller
Not anywhere in CA. $2500 = homeless It's Spring so being homeless isn't that big of a deal. CA is a great place for that.
Get a job and start saving. Eventually, you can probably rent a room in SoCal for like $500 a month
Aaron Long
Sure. acidvatlabs@gmail dot com. I moved up to Oregon to get away from city life because I hate living in the city >I Love Living in The City by Fear starts playing But then an old Highschool friend and I merged our music ideas/business together and are a DIY Media Group. So I ideally will be traveling solcal/northern California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, etc.- we are putting connections on the map to film skaters, travel for tours and book local bands to other states and vice versa, it goes on. It's a grass roots approach so really if you make money working for us it's your money, we're all independent contractors. I'm shitting right now so I'm just laying it on you. It'll be glorified, well paying hobo work with the arts at first. Not saying oh you should join but that's what I'll be doing if you ever ask what I'm doing in Vegas.
I think you can actually live on Mexico, that's a lot of money here, but i dont recommend 3/10
Zachary Robinson
This is the cringiest post on Yea Forums I've seen to date please fucking go back
Ryder Bennett
Are you honestly trying to argue that OP can afford a place in CA because housing is affordable in AZ?
Nolan Campbell
That actually sounds awesome lol I'm actually really into film making and I love to travel. I own a Black magic pocket cinema camera 4k. Not sure if you guys have something better, but i'd let the group use it.
I'll send you an email sometime tonight or tomorrow. Cheers, brotha.
Grayson Morales
>west coast >Arizona
pick one you absolute nigger
Nathan James
lol kid I'm 33, married with 2 kids and a mortgage I've forgotten about more places than you've been to if you think renting rooms from people on craigslist is a good route to go for a jobless kid with $2500 and a car, more power to ya my point was the west coast is expensive, not fucking Phoenix and congrats that you can search craigslist, I'm impressed
Elijah Bailey
Anywhere in Southern CA is affordable if you just need a room. It's pretty much ghettoville. You can probably live off that for a few months if you're careful
Mason Rogers
You don't know a thing about me or where i've been. Rando craigslist people sounds better than the miserable household you're living in.
Josiah Richardson
arent you black guy on probation
Jonathan Thomas
Fellow 33 year old here. Are we officially old enough to condescendingly dismiss the younger generation? Sweet. I've been looking forward to being a crotchety old man. It's disappointing that we can't tell kids on Yea Forums to get off our lawns though.
LA is like to have an outbreak of a plague due to the fucking rats attracted to the garbage. Scary shit.
Wyatt Brown
*likely
Brody Stewart
Huntsville, AL
High paying tech jobs for the military industrial complex with the backwoods redneck cost of living.
Jose Perez
this shittiest apartments are $500 and up I guess if you want to eat out of the trash and wear thrift clothes or whatever you find on the shit-laden streets. California has INVENTED the caste system of the US despite being it's most liberal state. what a retarded place.
If you can deal with the bullshit and retards,Albuquerque NM. Literally $300 for a two bedroom 650sqft apartment in a "decent neighborhood" you can live like a king on 2500. Everything is cheaper because no one wants to be there. i did 2 whole years of college there and only spent 10k (Including all school expenses). Jobs are Fucking Everywhere.
Henry Cook
>Albuquerque NM Literally this. I'm in CA and you really aren't welcome here. You can't afford housing and you're basically another car on the road. Don't leach in CA when you can thrive somewhere else.
Jacob Parker
>I'm in CA and you really aren't welcome here.
That NEET who says people aren't welcome in his state
Carter Harris
Same here. stop clogging the fucking 405
Juan Reyes
>aren't welcome NEETs aren't welcome here. And yes, with the property taxes I give to CA, it is MY fucking state. OP stay the fuck outta CA
Ayden Robinson
OP IS LEAVING CALIFORNIA YA FUCKING NEET
Elijah Myers
>And yes, with the property taxes I give to CA, it is MY fucking state.
Nope, with that money it's their state not yours. Your just a property cuck
Chase Jones
A decade or two late for Denver.
David Gutierrez
>property cuck Fucking kek
Ayden Foster
$2500 isn't going to last you long anywhere in the country. I'd save up a bit more or try lining up a job where you plan on ending up. Don't be like my co-worker: moved out of CA and couldn't find a decent job for months. MONTHS. Thankfully, he had savings. I don't know how much it was, but considering he couldn't find work for months, it was a lot more than $2,500.
Carter Nguyen
Stay in California. No one wants your shitty car clogging up their streets.
Xavier Roberts
If you live in the middle US, it's great cause it's not artificially inflated because of foreign investors. For example my parents in NJ pay $20k in property taxes every fucking year
Lucas Turner
That's a month or two renting a room in Vegas and Phoenix. If he applied weeks before moving and during, if he's a decent employable person, he should be getting a job at that point
John Wood
Stay away from Cali. It's already fucking packed. Traffic sucks
Colton Watson
20k?! Our founding fathers are rolling in their fucking graves right now.
Parker King
Yup and their mortgage is $56k a year. Basically $76k just for the house alone every year. That shit supports a family in Texas or Minnesota, or any other place in the US
Daniel Green
Would not reccomend tucson at all
Juan Wood
I say Oregon no food tax plenty of weed and it's beautiful there
Levi Reed
> not a faggot >on Yea Forums
Pick one
Luis Stewart
56k a year mortgage is shit
Mason Parker
North az gets hot too
Christian Gray
The fuck there is. Unless you're talking about literally renting a single room in some else's home. 2500 isnt enough for a significant move.
Ayden Adams
>YWN steal her panties from her set trailer
Adam Miller
>Unless you're talking about literally renting a single room in some else's home.
WTF did you think he meant?
Bentley Phillips
I think his point is no legit apartment complex is going to take him in and sure people rent out that single extra room but its typically in the hood.
I've moved a number of times and if you dont have a job lined up before moving there isnt much margin for error if any with only $2500
Lincoln Perez
>sure people rent out that single extra room but its typically in the hood.
Are you stupid or underage
Adam Reed
Why am I the first person ITT to recommend LAKE HAVASU? One of my favorite places. Just got back from a weekend there.
Besides tourism, what other jobs are there though. It's nice but a small tourist town isn't a good place for jobs
Angel Garcia
Milwaukee
Lucas Nguyen
>muh jerbs I dunno dude be an entrepreneur. You make the most money eliminating steps between yourself and people who pay the money. Any time you take 'a job' you are signing up with a group of middlemen who accept more of the money for the privilege of letting you do the work. I personally work under the table as a carpenter and that's in demand everywhere. But there are all sorts of ways to make money. Leave a cod fillet on a pile of panties in the sun and sell them for $60/each. The world is your oyster.
Only people from the hood rent rooms? lol what fucking rock are you living under?
Jonathan Peterson
tourism is a goldmine for money. its just that you'll be in the tourism industry, not education
Jack Rodriguez
Corvallis, Oregon
Eli Scott
Spokane Cheap housing cheap water and electricity Good weather except for winter Unlike western Washington way less libs A lot of construction work ( I was handed 3 business cards in the last month)
Lincoln Taylor
Funny you should say that. I'm actually thinking about moving there. I can get a farming job pretty easily. My only concerns about Corvallis are the housing prices and weather.
