Any exercise done reguarly will make some progress. But I'd recommend once per day with more sets. It's much more practical.
the problem is that I am in a bad shape - and I don't think I can do more sets at the moment
Short answer: No.
why?
this is a bullshit work out guy
go do c25k and 4 sets of push-ups and pull ups to failure 3 days a week you'll be fine
How much do you weigh for starters? M/F? Age? Height?
Do the most you can and increase over time. But yeah, as it was mentioned already, it isn't a very good workout generally. It's for chicks.
Male, 32, 180cm, 105kg... I did semi-pro sports when I way younger. But now I have a job which is making me fat.
You need brakes, fam. 3x per week is plenty. And try doing some cardio.
I have a chronical problems (beacuse of semi-pro sports in the past) with my knees, so I can't run.
Compared to doing nothing? Yes doing 60-80 push-ups and 120-160 squats a day along with the rest of the exercises will show results. This basically is a variation of Herschel Walker’s workout routine that keeps him looking like this even though he’s pushing 60.
Depends on what you eat
you tell me what should I eat :) But as I said, I have a job full of meetings etc. where I can't easily eat like many times a day.
You dont have to run to do cardio. Swimming is a great low impact option
High protein, low carbs, zero refined sugars
Dont listen to this guy
I don't drink alcohol and coffee. I stopped to drink sweet drinks. I usually drink water.
But I don't eat a breakfast, because I am in a hurry. Then I eat lunch in a restaurant...
Bro, walk at a brisk pace for at least 30-60min per day 3-4x per week you'll start losing weight. Once you drop closer to 200lbs then start weight training to tone.
You're not going to do yourself much good if you go crazy with workout at first to lose weight because your body will stabilize to the metabolism you built. Aka you will continue to need that intense of a workout/diet to maintain. If you drop the weight gradually at first it let's your body settle into a more healthy metabolic rate. Which means less intense work out to maintain the weight once you hit it.
Slight, but Her workouts are kind of a meme
It's a cute concept but if you are actually planning on getting gainz it's not the best to follow.
It gets superhero nerds in a decent shape so I've got nothing against her. You can do it if you want to get in shape and then start working out properly.
Bring your lunch. You can control your portions and your caloric intake better that way.
do you think walking could have some result? After what time?
:( Unfortunately I can't do that... I am a top management guy and my job is full of work-related lunches... + I can't cook :D
I need to lose weight first.. quickly..
Then be smart about it. Don’t order a bunch of fried garbage and only eat about half of what the restaurant serves you. If you really were a semi-pro athlete you can’t be this much of a dullard about nutrition.
losing weight is simple
eat less calories than you burn every day
you can literally just walk every day and it'll help you lose weight
>i dont eat breakfast
chug a whole bottle of water first thing in the morning, will get metabolism going
>low carb high protein meme
meme, literally just eat less calories than you burn
>no sugar
the less sugar the better but still, less calories than you burn in a day
it's a scientific law, the law of thermodynamics
if you intake less calories than you burn, you WILL lose weight
diet for a month first, then start doing weights or calisthenics or whatever you want to do to tone
read everything i just said several times and actually do it
stop being fat and lazy
Yes. If you do it at least 4x per week you'll see weight loss your first month. Just keep up the water intake and watch how much you eat. Don't worry about counting calories yet. Just eat until you become full then stop. If there's left over, save it or whatever but don't over eat.
Trust me, you do not want to go crazy at the start, it will just cause issues in the future. Work on dropping below 200lbs just walking then worry about toning more vigorous workouts.
I used to be 315lbs and I'm on my way below 200lbs now after a year. All it takes is self control and finding SOME way to work out. Even if it's just walking.
well, I was a semi-pro athlete like 12 years back... baseball catcher/center fielder... but I didn't care about nutrition.. I was young and talented - it was easy... but now.. :D
>quickly
you've already failed
you will continue to be fat
there is no such thing as losing weight quickly unless you do extremely unhealthy shit
yes, you are probably true - I just need to get on track
If I go for an evening walk - how long should it be? 5kms?
>lose weight
Eat less calories that you burn, a safe bet to go with for an adult aiming to lose weight is 1900 ish,
And most importantly
DO CARDIO
That's how you lose weight
Actually if you try to lose weight by gaining muscle you will most likely not shed the weight until decently far into your gains.
Either way, scooby has some good vids on weight loss and you can always ask
Don't forget to workout once you got to a decent weight, being thin is good, but that doesn't excuse being in atrophy.
Don't listen to probably some fatass venting.
You could lose weight decently fast with moderate workout and calorie watching.
Pretty much cutting sodas out of your life can drastically improve your weight loss.
However far you can go in 30-60min. Just do it in a brisk pace. That means faster than your normal walk. Just pretend you're late to a meeting and you don't want people to know.
enough to break a sweat, get the heart pumping
you can even alternate between walking and a light double time jog
not enough to fuck your knees up, but just enough to get your heart pumping a little more
once you get tired, switch back to walking for a bit until you think you can double time a little more
keep alternating, you'll get more out of the walk
just don't over exert yourself and burn yourself out of doing it
what i do is laps of a city block, it's easy to know how fat and long I'm going
if you're not motivated, pretend you're getting fit to be ready for war or something, whatever helps you stay motivated to move your ass and drop that disgusting fat
this is my actual body..
that's exactly what I said to do, moron.
i told him NOT to expect to lose weight quickly, because it does NOT happen quickly.
It's usually .5 to 1.0lbs/week just with eating less calories than burning in a day.
then you suggested exactly what I suggested.
get your shit straight
you've just got high body fat %
everything i said will work
>less calories than burn/day
I think I have some muscles, If I want, I can still throw the ball.. I am not weak - but it's hidden under the fat.. I guess..
should I count calories?
Quoted the wrong person
Meant to quote this GG boys Dyslexia wins again.
or maybe apple watch can count calories for me :D
Yeah
and make sure you get a balanced amount of carbs, meant, and fat
Lift weights. Do starting strength
how bad is it? how long do you think it can take to get back in shape?
bump
>balanced diet
>cut out sodas
>cut down portions
>do some push ups and sit ups and squats
>go for runs
>count your calories
>scooby1961's channel
Enjoy

Hi. I lost 100 pounds. I did i without much exercise. I cut out soda, fast-food and dining out except w/the wife on occasions. I bought a book "Eat What You Love" and learned how to cook "lean," with less oils, salts, sugars and fats. I don't eat breakfast apart from a banana, maybe a small muffin (made by the wife with stevia sugar), I have fresh fruit for lunch (three clementines, an apple and another banana). I have an awesome dinner, two or three cocktails and even desert. I now exercise in the morning, 30 to 40 squats and as many good form chinups I can. I walk the dog at a brisk pace. That's all. I haven't changed the pattern and it's been 4 years. Lowest was 165 atrophied. I'm now 180 with some nice muscle in my legs, arms and chest. Protip: stomach skin doesn't snap back. Permanent muffin top from being fat for 25+ years.
how do you count calories? some app?
Each gram of protein is 9 calories
Each gram of carbs/fat is 4
look in the back how many carbs, protein, fats, per serving , check how many serving you had, and add it all up.
There are resources that help you with specific meals and specific ingradients and their calories.
okay, so I'll start walking - some walking around 2-3kms during the day and 7-8kms in the evening... maybe it could do something
