Yeah those are some pretty light spoilers, minus the captain america using thor's hammer. Black widow dying is especially light because you don't know anything else about it. It could have been at the very end and Thanos just offs her. Now "Black widow dies...to get the soul stonec is not only spoiling her death in a more precise manner, it also shows that they have to recollect the stones for some reason.

They had two ways to go with this movie. One was time travel/alternate universes and use the stones to stop the snap. The other was to move forward with something original. They went with the easy, predictable plot that superhero stories always use after they've painted the plotline into a corner.

It was more of a combination. They didn't stop the initial snap by getting the stones. They simply went forward until antman showed up then did time travel to get the stones to bring back the people with another snap. It was more needlessly complex than it needed to be. It even brought the threat that was gone back by bringing him in from the past. There was never an intent to kill thanos again, but it ended up needing to happen.

The story was resolved at the end of IW, and could have launched an entirely fresh take on the MCU. But instead we had to have the same trite "good guys win, Yay Earth" that we always end up with.

Certainly would have been anticlimactic and kinda shitty to give her the victory instead of one of the two who deserved it. Those being Thor and Iron Man. Thor deserved it the most but he took a back seat as comic relief, with a smidge of action.

Someone's getting salty over nothing it seems. It's not a great ending but it can work. It would still have another movie after but it wouldn't be exactly what endgame was. The only problem is that the stones can't just be gone.

No, I just have a different opinion about whether it was a Satisfying end. I was perfectly OK with Thanos winning and Earth and the Superheroes being taken down a notch. It would have been a chance to explore how the entire Universe moved forward, an entirely new Era where everything was back up for grabs.
Instead we end up with basically a quid pro quo. Marvel will do the same thing they always do; bring in an even bigger, nastier Ultimate Enemy to fight and have the Heroes gain new impossible ways to defeat it.
I didn't expect anything different, because they're printing money with that formula.

Cap is one of a handful of people who have used Mjolnir without having some kind of special circumstances that essentially made him a new character or changed his personality.

Ragnarok basically showed us that Thor doesn’t need a weapon to be powerful. In IW he NEEDS a new weapon. In Endgame he has the power and TWO weapons but he’s fat so he sucks. Such a disappointment.

No, they go over that in the movie. It creates an alternate timeline, you can't change your own past. This does mean that Steve's presence back in the timeline he came from is a mystery. My guess would be that he stayed in the alternate timeline until Peggy died, then came back to the main timeline at some previous point, which could explain why Bucky seemed to know that he was waiting to talk to Sam and not himself.
