"I'm just a broken guy. Got a few screws loose, I guess. Never really knew it till now." -Skyking "No i dont I'm not ganna hurt no one. I just want you to whisper sweet nothings into my ear." -Skyking
Richard Russell aka Skyking hijacked a plane at work in an airfield and flew it around a bit talking to the ATC before committing suicide by crashing into land.

U Fucking serious right now? Disgruntled underpaid worker does a Fucking barrel roll in a stolen airliner over the puget sound in Washington. Does loop d loops too. Ends. by nose dive. Appologizes to his loved ones while having the time of his life. Makes jokes. Pukes on his self from exsesive 'g's. A man shat on in life makes the most of it an hero's.
I get it.... when everything feels so heavy there's no way out, no matter what contributes to the feeling it's common. I can only applaud not picking up a gun and shooting up innocents. He was probably a cool guy, broken like the best of us. F Skybro.
Man, I remember when that shit happens. I'm from Seattle but don't live there anymore (sadly) so I was stoked to see my town in the news, even if for something fucked up like this.
Right afterwards, just like anything else in the news, there were threads all OVER the place here. This place is where he was nicknamed "Sky King"- I've seen & heard him mentioned in other places by that name, but this is where it was first coined.
I'll be honest, when it first was going on, I expected since he anheroed that the denizens of Yea Forums would eviscerate him, hate on him, call him names, use his nickname as a pejorative to other unsavory/unlikable people.
Imagine my surprise when he turned into a fucking Yea Forums folk hero. The only way it could have been better if, like the Christchurch shooter mentioning PewDiePie during his video, Sky King had mentioned Yea Forums or Yea Forums in his conversations with ATC.
Long live Sky King.

When his son dies in his arms after learning his father loved him all along, but couldn't stay without destroying his life
If some threads could ever be considered a form of art, high schoolers and assholes would be like the younger sibling who spends all day breaking your drawing pencils and making confetti of your paper -then runs under mom's dress crying the second they hear you coming while sticking out their tongue.

I didn’t and trust me you didn’t miss a damn thing worth experiencing.

He did *not* hijack the plane. He stole it out of a hangar.
A way to prevent you from needing to learn to love yourself before you thought it was important making you equate telling yourself sad things with experiencing feelings, among other disorders you surely blame on your environment.
For the nihilist to continue not caring about something someone must be available to witness their effort. Otherwise it becomes plain even to them the person they want to convince is themselves

You ever just think to make a pilgrimage of sorts out to Ketron Island? Sky King was a man who knew what he wanted a knew it to be impossible and he took it to make his grave. Sky King had what is took
Don't forget, the US government shifted into high gear, scrambling the Air Force because they were worried he was going to crash it into national treasure, Jeff Bezos's mansion. Man that pissed me off.

Some people really don't have the ability to navigate the grey area between ignoring something and taking an unnatural fascination with it. It is likely that these two extremes are far easier targets to hit than discerning what is useful to most people in any given situation. Or maybe a forceful need to be unlike other people causes such dramatic responses.
Each unique person is unique. People trying to be unique generally come off as very similiar and inflexible
