Hey Yea Forums I need someone to explain what happened to me last night.
I think I had a stroke... I woke up very early in the morning around 3am, I tried to turn around in bed but, as I lifted my head I felt dizzy, lightheaded... it was very dark in my room so I dont know if my vision blacked out but it felt like it. My arms were numb and I couldn't move them, my jaw dropped, I thought I was dying.
Basically every sign of a stroke happened but im not one to self diagnose. anyone know how this happened?

Did you sleep on your hands?
Go to the hospital.
this also doesn't sound like a stroke, perhaps onset sleep paralysis
you're some random faggot on the internet but... take care of yourself, please
how do i know it wasnt a one time thing?
You have 4.5 hours (and that is the extended time for young people) after a stroke to get TPA. Do you have any lasting symptoms? Facial droop? Can you find your words okay? Sometimes symptoms will resolve on their own but are still at risk for another stroke. You should go to the doctor where you will get a CT/CTA and likely be placed on blood thinners.
Good luck user.
that doesn’t classify as a “one time thing”
especially if you are young
Medfag here
Go to the hospital now.
I'll consider you're not the smartest person since you're already not in the hospital and are asking /btards about this.
Basic signs of a stroke, one sided arm/leg/face weakness, numbness/tingling, facial droop, difficulty speaking, vision changes, headache, and a plethora of other symptoms.
I'm not going to get into the whole thing or ask you about what exactly happened because A FUCKING DOCTOR IN A HOSPITAL SHOULD BE DOING THIS YOU IDIOT.
To everyone, if you think you're having a stroke, we call it "time is brain" meaning the longer you wait, the more of your brain dies permanently. If you get help in the first 6hrs or so, you can have complete reversal of the damage. If you decide to wait, there's not much anyone can do (possible neurointervention, but that's a little beyond my training)
There are other things that can explain what you experienced. But would you seriously take any risk to the fact you could be a vegetable for the rest of your life?
Moral of the story - stop being a fucking idiot and get help now.
fuck dude
4.5 hours until what?
if you can lift both your arms up, speak a full sentence and smile, then it is not a stroke
