sometimes if you connect it to another pc as a slave drive and boot into safe mode you can take/transfer possession to your pc. ive done it with older XP hard drives, dk if it is same with newer OSs

Download Ubuntu onto a USB, then boot into the USB and mount the filesystem of the drive. You don't need a password to get access to what's in it. Unless it's encrypted.
