to all the owners of guns here, why do you think you need one? I understand the liking of guns, shooting at the range and so on.
But I don't get the "I carry a 9mm on a daily baisis and I have a shotgun for home defense". Like do you REALLY need that? Or is it just a way to feel powerful?
I'm wondering, did you ever needed one of your guns? Did one of your guns ever save your life? Or one of your friends had his life saved by it?

I use firearms to help feed my family. Hunting game animals. Also have pistols for personal protection. You Eurofags have no concept of just how large America is. If I call the police, it may be 30 minutes before they show up.

Well, I live just outside a city that recently increased its minimum wage to $15/hr. Since that decision was made, my neighborhood has become steadily blacker as the increasing city prices force the poor people out and into my back yard.
I didn't own a gun until violent crime started becoming normal in my neighborhood. And I kept putting it off until my new neighbors started getting violent towards me. That happened when one of their dogs, which wasn't on a leash, attacked mine. Somehow that was my fault because I'm a "cracker" and the local color started threatening me and my wife. That was the last straw.
I own two guns now. One is a sig P320 in 9mm. I own this one for cheap target shooting and because it's small enough that my wife feels comfortable using it. I don't want her to hesitate an iota if something happens while I'm gone, and having to stop and think about picking up a gun might cost her life. So that one is for practice and because she's comfortable with it. I wanted a .45 but that would have been too big for her to use comfortably.
Our other gun is a shotgun. This will be my go-to if something happens because it's less likely to puncture a wall and therefore less likely to harm someone outside the house.
I would rather have my wife than my new neighbors' kids, though, so she gets the 9.
Shotgun is perfect for home defense, with buckshot you just point in the general direction and shoot close quarters. Even your transgender wife could use it

I work in a very diverse part of an older American city.
The inhabitants of which are predominantly poor and desperate.
They are also routinely violent.
I carry a gun because they have shown time and againa willingness to rob, assault, and murder people, several of which I work with.
While they sometimes use guns, they also use pellet pistols, baseball bats, and even a brick once.
