I would, but I was looking at jobs. I'm already 28. I dont want a job like a plumbers apprentice which will cost 5 years of my life. I just want to save money and move. Only been in the field for less than a year, its not enough to be a notable experience on my resume. Just hoping I can stick it out.

Save up as much as you can, move somewhere with decent wages. Australia, for examples.

it's not easy, you have to spend a lot of time finding girls, places and guys.

You need to work on getting a network of reliable people and work on maintaining it.

I wouldnt mind being a lube tech, i just hate my work place. People are assholes. Idk why the shittiest people get hired. And management is so hands off, they make really shitty decisions in promoting people. All they look at is numbers so people who cut corners and get things done fast and ignore problems move up.

You say you don't wanna do plumbing apprenticeship, but mate, minimum wage for apprentices is more than you're on here in austraya. Although I'm not sure if you can start an apprenticeship if you're not a citizen... So that probably doesn't help.
If you are somewhat serious about coming here, I'd recommend a forklift license. You'll pick up laboring work pretty easy, they pay well too usually. Mid to late $20's plus heaps of overtime. I have the easiest job in the world at the moment, but I used to be a laborer at a steel factory. Would do 50-60hr weeks. Overtime pay was phenomenal. Was taking home $1500-2000 a week after tax. Was working my dick off tho. Saved it up and went on a six month trip around Australia with my now wife. Sorry for tangent.

If you're doing exactly what your job description is as a lube tech, and the company keeps rotating so-called bad techs, is there more incentive to promote you or to keep you doing what it is you're expected to be doing?

I like winter though. Kind of feeling down cause it goes from real cold to real hot. Plan to move mid west somewhere. I hate the northeast coast of the US, its very congested and expensive and nothing to do.

It just takes people who can do things fast. Some people do things fast and are so well versed they do it legitimately, but most people who get the chance to move up and try it out are the ones who are cutting corners to service a lot of customers. Dealerships are kind of corrupt. I always look at mistakes and look at who did it. It doesnt matter if someone fucked up if they also serviced a shit load of other customer vehicles since overall they are profiting the company.

5 years in IT > 1 year as a Sys Admin in DevOps > Security Analyst.

Skills that (most likely) got me where I am:
-Solid experience with Active Directory and account provisioning.
-Automation experience (BASH, Powershell, Python)

My advise: Get into IT as a helpdesk analyst. Learn to code by automating everything you don't like doing. Experience will bring opportunity.

Every second week is a 3 day weekend, if it aligns with a holiday can be even longer.
There really isn't a lot to do, pretty smooth running ship I took over, mostly helping tech illiterate people turn their computers off then back on again, and if that fails remote it.

Job is in a remote-ish area is why I get paid on the high end of the scale, but northern lights, best fishing you could ever want.

Get out of the $ per hour trap.
I deliver fast food here in the UK, I make between £10 and £20 per hour.
The owner pays me £18 fuel money Sunday through Thursday, Friay and Saturday being busier I get £26 fuel money.
Any delivery within 1 mile I recieve £1.50, up to 2.2 miles it's £2.00, up to 3.5 miles £2.50, anything further is £1 per mile, this is paid by the customer on top of the food order cost.I call it "lazy bastard tax"
I get to keep the tips too.
So on a quite Thursday night I might do 20 deliveries, even if all go within 1 mile of the shop thats £48 plus which would usually bring me up to around £60 for a 5 hour shift.
On a Friday or Saturday I usually do around 8 deliveries per hour in the same time frame bringing me in a minimum of £60 + £26 fuel + tips which usually puts me over the £100 or >£20 per hour.
Now your boss is only paying you for the fuel you'll use, you're now self employed and you're earning more with the added bonus you don't need to do shit duties like mopping and washing dishes in the down time.
