Considering time is infinite, there has to be another world war (or even interplanetary war) somewhere along the timeline. But in the near future, I'd say 50/50. The communist east is getting bigger and bigger and the west is losing its dominance slowly but surely. Economic and cultural warfare is already happening. But military warfare in the near future? Flip a coin because it's too early to tell.

the subcontinent and china are the only two parts of the world with countries who both need extra resources and land badly enough to start a war that large and have the ability to make it a viable threat.
India is currently not expansionist at all, and the countries near india are worried about their larger neighbour.

Yeah, there are several theaters heating up by the day, but as the wall of text above pointed out it's that boring modern operation shit we will see: relatively quick and clean operations executed by few players to achieve specific goals.
