I'm okay with this. Underage and even of age brits spend way too much spend way too much time jacking off. That's a lot of work hours and what time they could be spending on a relationship. It's really unhealthy

Literally no website will actually support this outside of the big ones. The infrastructure doesn’t exist.

VPN sales in UK up by 100,0000%

sad that retard dont know that most of the time its just dns block or that shit like TOR offers a free vpn

You’re right, if they really wanted to block it, they’d make the ISPs block it, rather than putting the emphasis every websites

> robust age verification

"Explain how to DIAL a number"

lol fucking Bongs
What is the queen gonna pull this time?
She’ll put a patent on pr0n? This is just asking for a new local underground porn scene or whatever

Welcome to the new China!

I have a girl friend that went to China with her bf years ago
Her bf was BMXing in a circus/fair and she was doing translating jobs
She told me that all bars in China have porn playing on their TVs

u got a loicense for dat lolli lad?

I don't agree with Tor - shit's as slow as fuck. But as far as the DNS goes, all we need is a cross-referenced list of the IPs of all porn sites then?

Ironically, Shenjen in China and other quasi Western cities are better than American cities. Hell of a lot cheaper too.

Literally just change to a different DNS server other than the ISP-supplied one and you'll be good. I doubt that it will just be a DNS block though. People can circumvent that by accident.

It is not a DNS block. They are going to make porn websites display a page to verify age ID to every IP coming from the UK. So you will need proxy/vpn to go arround it.

another delay then......

And how exactly will this work?
>enter your birthdate
>are you over 18? Click yes or no
There’s always a way to get around things

No, more like your dad will have to ring the ISP and confirm your age if you want to jerk it. It's a good thing, it's going to fuck off all the trannies. Brilliant.

Start stock piling anons.

>This only affects children and teens or sad fucks who can't move out of their parents
>Any self respecting adult will confirm it and go back to life as usual
Who the fuck cares.

>any commercial provider
lol who actually pays for porn in 2019?
this will be a complete non-event

Ever heard of a vpn?

>sending pictures of your ID to people you don’t know
fucking amazing idea, ever heard of anonimity?

anonymity*

shhh, the average faggot doesn't give a shit about human rights and individual choice

>They are going to make porn websites
or do what if they dont implement it? nothing. biqle - or any foreign medium to small pornsite isnt going to give a single fuck about it. their only options then are to ban the site (DNS block)

It's not an issue here are the important details.

But critics say teens may find it relatively easy to bypass the restriction or could simply turn to porn-hosting platforms not covered by the law.

Twitter, Reddit and image-sharing community Imgur, for example, will not be required to administer the scheme because they fall under an exception where more than a third of a site or app's content must be pornographic to qualify.

Likewise, any platform that hosts pornography but does not do so on a commercial basis - meaning it does not charge a fee or make money from adverts or other activity - will not be affected.

Furthermore, it will remain legal to use virtual private networks (VPNs), which can make it seem like a UK-based computer is located elsewhere, to evade the age checks.

So this only really affects people who legally pay for porn.

Nothing to worry about. in fact it may accelerate the death of cancerous paid porn sites.

So all the trolling shithead americans trying to scare you can go have another burger and die of heart disease.

outside of Pornhub I dont think any of us will see any difference

post a picture of your id here and now if its not a big deal

>meaning it does not charge a fee or make money from adverts or other activity

That's Yea Forums and pornhub out. Then again, not really bothered. We will just see less trannies and general teenage based autism. Doesn't affect me so...

Shariah law coming to the cucked brits

>make money from adverts
it all depends on the interpretation of "make money from adverts" and also what it treats as an "advert" if it means direct porn adverts or just website advertising and that I honestly do not know

dont be stupid

Or am I? Hey man i like your country good soccer(football) teams, one of my favorite boxers. I just think it's scary how they're becoming more and more of a nanny state. Not to say the USA is bad about all the religious based laws but damn

As ever with the law in the UK it's open to interpretation and usually only means what it has to, when it has to if that makes sense. Personally I think they will look it from the perspective of 'it brings in money from adds, it's out'. It's another knee jerk bit of legislation which will be poorly enforced because no one has the money to enforce it, but it just paints a grim picture for the future.

Fun fact. This legislation is a hang over from the thatcher era. It's being forced by sir Oliver Letwin, who worked under thatcher and has being in power ever since, enforcing quasi thatcherism.

>Time to start hoarding porn
Why? Underage ban!

>I just think it's scary how they're becoming more and more of a nanny state.

It's always being this way. People forget that the UK isn't a democracy like the US, it's different. We get elections but that's it, we don't really have a say in regards to how the government runs, we are subjects so we raise taxes and in return the government looks after us.

I like the states, one of my favourite places to holiday. If I could I'd move over.

They were talking about big fines and blocking sites that don't comply with the law. But, I agree that it is impossible to enforce for small sites, specially if they are outside of the UK.

The big sites seem like they are going to ask UK visitors for actual ID(not just clicking "I agree that I'm 18"). And the service they are going to use for collecting this data is own by them.

So you can prepare your VPN if you want to avoid paying or giving away your data to porn websites in the UK. Have fun, UK faggots.
