I support individuals having the freedom to make their own decisions, that doesn't mean I support the decision. You should be free to make your way in life, but that doesn't mean I have to agree with it.

That's exactly what it seems to me too. And that's why I brought up this question, because MGTOW is not enough to represent the changes we need, I think.

I just realized it's the perfect single life. Far away from anything that could land you in prison such as women and children. It's right up there with taking care of the elderly and priesthood.

MGTOW is a symptom. A symptom of a society out of sync. We've reached a point of development that has drastically changed our cultural and societal landscape. You can see this by observing mortality rates and population growth in developing countries vs. developed countries. When a country is shit, and the people are poor, children are an asset. You're encouraged to pop out more kids because the mortality rate is higher. Children are an asset, especially in a place where you don't have much. The bonds that keep them together are stronger too - mostly because you have to rely on each other because everyone's so poor.

Developed countries celebrate liberty, freedom, and the individual. Gender roles shift, people don't need each other the same way they used to, and mortality rates plummet because we've got decent healthcare. Children are interpreted as more of a cost than an asset, because you can get by without them.

But this change has only happened recently, depending on how you look at it you could say it's as new as when the women's liberation movement was in full effect, but the landscape started changing significantly as nations became industrialized. Even with this change though, we're fighting a couple hundred thousand years of evolution. We're not used to this state of being.

MGTOW sounds great when you're a young man, or perhaps a bitter middle-aged man. But what about when you get old and your health starts to fail? Who's going to take care of you when you don't have a wife, kids, or grand kids? Your friends? The government? To grow old and alone is the worst of all worlds, believe me. And the older you get the harder it is to find a partner in life. It's better to find to find a partner when you're young, and statistics show that young marriages generally last longer. MGTOW is just a symptom of a sick culture full of bitter guys who (rightfully) resent the impossible expectations the many modern females put on them, but they need to keep trying, there's many good and decent females out there. Being alone is not worth it.

I'm not sure you can. I think the shift in our landscape is essentially a limiting factor which affects the carrying capacity of human populations. Without it we'd probably continue to breed at rates similar to shithole countries and exhaust our resources even faster than we are now.

There is one solution. Avoid the parts of the world that have met their carrying capacity and instead move to a place that's fertile land so to speak. I mean you could marry a woman from a shithole country but the problem's still the same - she moves to wherever you are and turns into every other woman there. It really is a catch 22 - you either risk the barren soils of a spoiled land or travel to a place where the healthcare's shit and there's shit in the street.
