How do women end up getting trafficked and force to prostitution?

When I was using heroin I knew this girl who was also using. I'm clean now but she kept using. Moved up to the big city. I'm assuming she met some new connections up there. The new connections she met were probably traffickers and once they found out where she lived(probably alone or with another girl) they went to her house and kidnapped her.
I'm just guessing at all this cuz no one has heard from her in years not even her family.

This is flat fact. I grew up in South Florida, Ft. Lauderdale mainly. I saw so many runaways and young couples, looking to escape the hellish Midwest come there, meet a new 'friend' and were sucking old man dick within a month for the drugs and lifestyle the 'friend' got them hooked on.

Drug habits. Runaways who wind up with pimps. Abuse victims. Money whores. Immigration schemes.

Honestly, all women should be working as whores for men.

Problem is that money's not free

Many aren't forced to do shit. They do it because they like to fuck and get paid. A smaller amount become prostitutes because they have zero skills. They're high school dropouts, or they have criminal records, so the only legitimate job they'd ever be able to hold down would pay minimum wage. For some, getting paid more than minimun wage to have sex is preferable to $7.25/hr to flip burgers.

For the ones that are sex trafficked, some women - many of whom are Asian and Hispanic - are told they have jobs lined up in the US. Then they get here and they're entitely dependent on the people who brought them over for housing, pay, etc. They have no friends or family here to help them out, and they're told they need to pay back their debt to their traffickers and the job they have lined up for them is at a questionable massage parlor that offers happy endings. Forcing someone to do something is bad for business though, since it's hard to watch someone 24/7 here in the US and actually have slaves, and slaves would run away and tell on their captors. Usually they're "forced" in the sense that it's the best job they're offered, and they'd rather make more money having sex than toiling away stitching soccer balls for a shit wage, so they choose to be prostitutes, and whenever they get busted by the police then they want to play the victim and snitch on the traffickers.

Some girls born here in the states have alienated their friends and family and have no one left to turn to, and they also can't get a decent job, so they prostitute and get a pimp that takes care of them. There are organizations these women can turn to, but I know people who work in them and the women are usually just trying to get away from a "gorilla pimp" (an aggressive pimp), and as soon as they get linked up with a better place to stay they go back to prostituting, because it's all they know and it's easier than a regular life working for minimum wage and paying taxes.
