Phew tough week at work, let's relax with a brew & comfy thread
you're probably the only one who post comfy threads on Yea Forums it's pretty barren here with comfy threads otherwise
Where all my Japan bois at?
I'm not from Japan, but I love cityscapes in Tokyo ;)
nice
where else do you post them?
Good ol' days.
I don't know, there probably less shitposting in or >>>/rk9/catalog than here, so perhaps other boards host comfy threads, I'm not sure. I usually stick with Yea Forums only.

Love it, great concept, I'm sure you can find something similar IRL
really nice user
what does it for me is light outside. the light reflecting off the buildings is similar to the light on the floor. so i'm thinking it's a setting sun. the sky is dark blue...just that warm, cozy summer evening.
geez, what a place to live
wow.
here's my contribution
thanks!
Yeh wind blowing palm leafs adds a lot to fantasy as well, city is alive outside too.

I just heard the most amazing piece of classical music at school this afternoon. I was just walking down a hall and it was playing for a music class through an open door. I stuck around and heard amazing sounds, like it was from another world. The names on the board were Ravel M... M something, a long russian name with an Mussssssssomething. Anyway does this sound like something you know?
crap, forgot to upload photo.
Yeh good luck, and have fun :)
Maurice Ravel and Mussorgsky, two composers
something a little different than what's been posted.
Detroit?
rule of thumb to keep in mind with photography, an image generally isn't worth capturing unless it's something you would want hung on your own wall. Garage doors not so much.
Other place, across the ocean ;)
I have lived in cities for the last two decades. But I grew up in the far north out in the woods where there was no population but a tiny native murrican tribe of a few dozen people, and we only saw them a couple times a year when they'd come check in on us during the winter. I am back in school after a collapsed career, and staring at that picture makes me realize the rest of my life could be a view out a window at ugly manmade artificial landscapes devoid of life and beauty. When I graduate in three years, if my only job prospects are in cities, I will save myself the pointless trouble, and overdose on morphine. I'd almost do it now but classes are just getting interesting.
i understand. thanks user
dude I have had four careers, all successful. Just things I wanted to do. No excuse for doing anything you don't want to.
>Detroit
This bad user, sorry to hear it.
well that took a turn. don't overdose, user. i've seen many people in my workplace switch careers and flourish. the fact that you went back to school after roadblocks in your past career shows you are stronger than most.
Agreed. When I shoot I keep only those which I put together in series and hang up for a few weeks before switching out to a new series. That said, I have two collections of doors. One set which I took of interesting doors when I lived in Rome, and one set of insane Art Nouveau doors in Paris. Art Nouveau was a brief high point of human creativity and achievement. ...thank two shitty world wars for putting an end to that and replacing it with the ugly mess we have today.
Fuck I miss my home (pic almost related)
How do you get in tho
>flying cars
people can't figure out stop signs. wanna give them the responsibility of FLYING?
basement
Probably concept art, but some similar mini hotels exists.
idk why but I love this one too
Who can forget it hehe
I thought about starting another company, which was the one thing I did that I was really good at and enjoyed. ...but it would require about $60,000 more in SUC than I have, and I think by the time I make that at a day job I'll be 60yo and won't want to risk it on a startup. That probably won't be enough to get my teeth fixed by then, and I'll die like an elephant, starving bc I ran out of good teeth. lol I guess all I can say is, we'll see how it all goes.
That is a rich, well organized setup. Clean and nicely put together. Bravo.
yes, block the only natural light coming into that room with a monitor and curtain. I'm not 100% sure but I have an idea on who resides in there..
When your workplace is one meter away from your bed.
that's no excuse to neglect yourself from sunlight
random chicken ass
I've started watching wakfu. It's a nice show. Also it's french so everyone in it are immensely fuckable.

Netflix n Chill, all is solid.
Modest Mussorgsky Pictures at an Exhibition written for keyboard
My favourite version being played by the incredible virtuoso concert pianist:
Evgeny Kissin
youtube.com
The opus was orchestrated by Maurice Ravel, and that is probably what you heard at school:
youtube.com
Pictures at an Exhibition was written as a sort of musical obituary for Mussorgsky's good friend: the artist Viktor Hartmann.
The Suite was also used as the main inspiration for the British Progressive Rock Group Emerson Lake & Palmer:

One of my favorite pieces. It's definitely an accessable one too, ive found that a lot of people really enjoy it.
no thanks
I agree completely.
I also think it is the greatest musical obituary ever written, the whole suite conveys Mussorgsky's grief as he walks round the Exhibition of his friends paintings - the "Promenade" which links his solemn stroll from one picture to the next, pausing at each in turn to ponder Hartmanns thoughts and reasons for painting it. Mussorgsky brings those paintings to life with such amazing eloquence that I have always thought that I could recognise them just from hearing the music, without ever having seen the paintings.
Who could ever wish for a more perfectly crafted epitaph, representing their life's work ?
no niggers, no muslims, no mexicans.. what can you possibly not like?
Boston?
Koreatown, Los Angeles.
>no niggers, no muslims, no mexicans
humans are humans?
also, i see mold being a HUGE problem
I want to move to an apartment in a big city just to have this view. ugh.
This is one of the reasons why I love coming to Yea Forums.
Like...I'd take a Friday night staying in looking at a comfy thread over going out.
Can be good, if you live high enough.
Damn these are all amazing.
Does anyone ever get a nice comfy vibe from curling up in your car or a tent at a reststop or campground, esp when it's lightly raining?
But a bus filled with jizz, snot and piss is cool right
Teh monkeys will get you
I was to post this with a disclaimer "I'm not going there myself"
Jeez where is that?
I absolutely love this. Reminds me of urbexing or even growing up in a neighborhood with other kids who explored places like this at night.
Milwaukee I think
New York, maybe Manhattan
There is something very satisfying about lying in a warm sleeping bag at night, with the random
> pitter-patter
sound of raindrops resonating on a taut flysheet, that is keeping you snug and dry overnight.
I think that there is a primeval instinct for safe shelter that is built into our psyche in a way that makes those veiled sounds of rain very comforting, provided they is no chance of them drenching us to the skin.
Reminds me of pic related, here's the link at the end. It truly is something else.
Jesus user...that sounds wonderful. I may try to recreate that tmrw night since it's supposed to rain here
I hope you do. I hope everyone can experience what I felt that night and during that dream. It was truly otherworldly. May it happen and create an amazing memory for you, user.
