...and?

Remember folks, vegans who try to push veganism are operating on emotion, not logic.

Well interacting with you kind of people is cancer anyway, so why not add a little bit more to my diet.

what does OPs video make you feel?

Plants get cancer too, user. It's not profitable to check every fruit or vegetable. You're sticking cancer tumors up your butt.

What about lion? Is it bad that lion shreds his prey into piece and gets to eat?

Can you stop talking with fucking cryptic memes and sentences.

>Plants get cancer too, user. It's not profitable to check every fruit or vegetable. You're sticking cancer tumors up your butt.
Well good argument but I won't start to put meat up my butt.

Nothing in particular. They're just pigs.

well you posted a bloody lion, as if you were similar to it and not to a fucking ape.

eating food is bad?

Not him, but you know that apes and monkeys get bloody too, right?

i don't care. i enjoy watching this footage will munching on some delicious bacon.

dogs are also gassed in many kill shelters

you meant to reply to someone else for sure.

that's true. Also most of their food is fruit with some insects here and there.

every animal (including people) will have cancerous cells in their body in some point of life. this is just scaremongering

And?

I could do the same but I don't

yeah I think so too

nothing. that's it

>nothing. that's it
k then

Nope it was you little zealot, you made a claim that eating food is bad.

>Nope it was you little zealot, you made a claim that eating food is bad.
Meat is animal flesh from a killed animal that once wanted to live a life.
I think that the current definition of food is somewhat like the definition of food of a cannibal.

But don't worry it'll change soon.
mofb.org/taste-test-this-fake-meat-is-the-real-deal/
Missouri farm bureau just saw the threat.

Think what will happen once meat alternatives are cheaper than the real thing.

Attached: 2.jpg (960x960, 94K)

I eat meat just to spite vegans.

literally 99% of the fucking population eats meat though!?

You obviously are against any animal cruelty laws, right?

i think consumers are ultimately to blame for the cruelty of factory farming. Animals could be treated humanely and have lives outdoors eating normal food for them , but then a hamburger would cost $200.

Go back to tumblr you fucking faggot

>Animals could be treated humanely and have lives outdoors eating normal food for them , but then a hamburger would cost $200.
I don't think that consumers are to blame that a humanely raised burger would cost $200.

Vegan diets will make you degenerate so much you'll look like a concentration camp inmate after a year.

why would you even reference a gazillion little studies? Do you have a main study that you want to base your argument that people need meat to be healthy on?

Veganism isn't about health. It's been clearly established that you can easily live a good life without animal products.

This is my stance on the matter:
academic.oup.com/ajcn/article/89/5/1627S/4596952

Imagine thinking cancer spreads after the animal is dead. You are a special kind of dumb, maybe the lack of nutrients cause your brain to go stupid. Not eating meat has been linked to DNA restructuring and problems with the embryo when having children. Fatty acids found in meat is a essential part in staying healthy, so go eat your nuts, you fucking idiot

just picking at random studies you provided.
It's been long established that carotene's are freaking healthy and the foods they say are "true vit A sources" are all linked to high mortality what the crap is this list of fucking studies WTF

>kek samefag

lmao. imagine being this much in delusion.

no point arguing with ideologues.

well then you are just easy to impress

well I looked at 1 of your links, why did you include it?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Environmental_impact_of_meat_production

this is quite interesting as well

>well then you are just easy to impress

And you were wrong. Again.

you'll have a bad day when we outlaw animal slaughter.

Vegans are nothing more than a cult at this stage. They are completely closed to all the evidence that meat has been and will always be a part of the ecosystem of living beings in nature. It's their own ideology that says just the rest of us are wrong. Nuh uh brainlets, just you.

Never happening, so dream on, I guess.

discussion about health of vegan diet is over I guess

do you agree that meat alternatives might soon be cheaper than meat?

>All the major dietetics and health organizations in the world agree that vegan and vegetarian diets are just as healthy as omnivorous diets:

Not for kids it isn't. Welp

I don't care.

or you could check the links

you are afraid of thinking this through.
So meat alternatives are cheaper than meat.
All sausage will be meat free, nobody cares what that is made from anyways. Burgers, canteen food, all that stuff will be made meat free, no halal issues, no salmonella problems and did I mention, it's cheaper.
In the supermarket people will mostly buy the cheaper, as the true humane meat advertised meats, maybe expensive animal meat for holiday etc.
A few years later it'll be shunned to eat animal flesh.

>might
Do you agree that aliens might invade? At this point in time meat alternatives are more expensive and generally perceived as not as good.

Come to Europe, faggot.
There are a lot of muslim shitskins you'll have to convert. And they do it in bathtubs too.

>A few years later it'll be shunned to eat animal flesh.
Nice leap you make here.

>At this point in time meat alternatives are more expensive and generally perceived as not as good.
I agree.

>Do you agree that aliens might invade?
I agree, but my scenario is more likely

>or you could check the links

You didn't bother checking all these:
Why should I check yours?

>you are afraid of thinking this through.
Nope, I have heard it all. I don't stand bullshit arguments to justify an ideology.

yes, but you get the point.

faggot I am in Europe.

>You didn't bother checking all these:
the first one I checked was totally dumb: why would I look at the others?

>Nope, I have heard it all. I don't stand bullshit arguments to justify an ideology.
that does sound like you secretly are afraid of animal alternatives. They will be cheaper and everyone will buy them.

The problem is that it doesn't really follow. If 'meat alternatives' are cheaper and seen as the budget option while actual meat is more expensive as seen as a luxury item, that would suggest to me that real meat would be a sort of status symbol like caviar.

>If 'meat alternatives' are cheaper and seen as the budget option while actual meat is more expensive as seen as a luxury item, that would suggest to me that real meat would be a sort of status symbol like caviar.
I agree. Look what meat people buy now: the cheapest option.

The god ol' appeal to emotions

There is nothing wrong with killing animal and eating it, I really don't understand this absolute vegan craze. We've been eating meat for probably 95% of human existence. Agriculture is very recent phenomenon. Here in Europe where I was growing up, vegetable consumption was very limited, because we could only grow vegetables in one season, the rest of the year my family was hunting, drying meat, raising pigs and dairy cows. Yet my family are one of the happiest, strongest and sharpest people that I know of.

Whenever I see one of these threads, I go out and buy some meat. Congrats.

>Yet my family are one of the happiest, strongest and sharpest people that I know of.
congratz, I guess?

oh no you did what 99% of people do, I am shocked, go suck on some meat

>directly causes increased meat consumption

So you know well enough this isn't happening any time soon. The meat industry is way too powerful for a total meat ban and even more so now that the third world and its middle ages customs have been massively imported.

Killing animals for meat is one thing
Torturing animals and killing them is something else. The fact that its kept secret by law is disgusting also.

They've anthropomorphized animals and let emotion override reason.

animals are property with emotions

yeah where do you think the emotion comes from?

nice straw-man though

well humans can be property as well

And you going in circles like a retard.

>yeah where do you think the emotion comes from?
It's a misfiring of emotion that evolved so we would feel empathy for other humans, which is beneficial for a social animal.

This is first time I posted in this thread

I agree. Do you think this emotion is right for human apes excluding the homo sapiens of course?
Or should human apes have no rights at all like you agreed before?

you forget that most people can't stand watching a video of animals being slaughtered so it is a fair point that they shouldn't eat them.

>Can you clarify what you're trying to ask here?
no, I can't, sorry.

>>Or should human apes have no rights at all like you agreed before?
>What?
okay, different user.
Do you think animals should have rights? If yes, which rights?

>no, I can't, sorry.
Then I can't really answer it, because it doesn't make sense.
>Do you think animals should have rights?
No, unless you want to be pedantic and say that humans are animals. Humans should have rights, not non-human animals.

>Humans should have rights, not non-human animals.
This seems very cruel to me. Many animals are crazy intelligent and obviously have the same anatomy to feel pain just as we do.

>This seems very cruel to me.
I can't help how something seems to you.
>Many animals are crazy intelligent and obviously have the same anatomy to feel pain just as we do.

so what if some animals are killed just because i want to eat a burger, what, are they gonna tell the police?

Because as members of the social species called humans, you benefit by doing so. Caring about other humans is beneficial from a selfish standpoint. Caring about non-human animals is not.

That's true

>Because as members of the social species called humans, you benefit by doing so.
I agree.

>Caring about other humans is beneficial from a selfish standpoint. Caring about non-human animals is not.
non-human animals can be part of our society, so caring about them is beneficial from a selfish standpoint.

>non-human animals can be part of our society
No, they can't. There is a reason we do not take animals to court for breaking laws, there is a reason why animals do not start businesses or run for public office.

>No, they can't. There is a reason we do not take animals to court for breaking laws, there is a reason why animals do not start businesses or run for public office.
those reasons have nothing to do with them being part of our society, it's because of their mental capacity that they don't run for office, just like a retard isn't allowed to vote. Yet a retard is a part of our society.

Please show me where it’s illegal for retards to vote.

Do we screen non-human animals to certify them based on mental capacity, or do we treat them fundamentally differently simply based on species? It isn't a matter of intelligence or feeling, it's a matter of being too different to be members of our society.

>Please show me where it’s illegal for retards to vote.
"Twenty-one countries (11%) only placed no restrictions on the right to vote by persons with mental health problems. Over one third of the countries (36%) deny all persons with any mental health problems a right to vote without any qualifier."
tandfonline.com/doi/figure/10.1080/09540261.2016.1211096?scroll=top&needAccess=true

>Do we screen non-human animals to certify them based on mental capacity, or do we treat them fundamentally differently simply based on species?
Well there are no animals that are up to par with the intelligence of a healthy human, so we don't know.
The great apes are being treated with a lot of respect.
>It isn't a matter of intelligence or feeling, it's a matter of being too different to be members of our society.
well but they are members of our society. Dogs, cats etc are even parts of families.

Attached: 9.jpg (960x960, 148K)

>The great apes are being treated with a lot of respect.
Are they allowed to vote, buy property, etc.?
>well but they are members of our society.
They aren't.
>Dogs, cats etc are even parts of families.
They're literally property, like houseplants or the family television.

>Are they allowed to vote, buy property, etc.?
no but as we figured out that's not what makes someone deserve rights.

>It isn't a matter of intelligence or feeling, it's a matter of being too different to be members of our society.
that's just a legal status, they live as part of a family. Not like houseplants, but you know that.

>no but as we figured out that's not what makes someone deserve rights.
What makes someone deserve rights is societal membership. They aren't members of our society.
>that's just a legal status,
'just'
> they live as part of a family.
They live as property of a family.
>Not like houseplants
Exactly like houseplants. What is the difference between a family that is emotionally attached to a dog and a family that is emotionally attached to a plant or even something nonliving like a car?
> but you know that.
Do I now?

>What makes someone deserve rights is societal membership. They aren't members of our society.
ok, in your view. In mine they are.

Not trying to compare this shit, but as an example of someone becoming a member of society look at how slaves were seen as non-humans and not part of society. Then ethics and world economics changed and then former slaves were a part in society and given rights.

So saying they aren't a member of our society isn't an argument, because that status could change.

Attached: 10.jpg (960x954, 111K)

The obvious difference being that slaves demonstrably could become members of our society. Let me know when animals are able to start companies or be president. Slaves had the potential to be members all along, while it isn't at all clear that non-human animals do.

>Slaves had the potential to be members all along, while it isn't at all clear that non-human animals do.
I agree that it isn't at all clear.
I think that it is clear that they deserve some rights though.

Its a market demand thing. Yeah killing animals is a bad thing. I lived near a cattle pen in college. But i dont give a fuck. Its like investing in african slavw gold mines. Ypu can cry and present facts all you want but unless there is no more demand, then the ball will keep on rolling. Or african war diamonds.

Why?

this guy gets it.

because they feel pain just like I do. I wouldn't want harm to be done to me.

Plants are alive just like you are. You don't want to be killed do you?

>Plants are alive just like you are. You don't want to be killed do you?
but they don't know that they are alive (for all we know). If I didn't know I was alive I wouldn't care about being alive, riiiiiiiight?

So now you've shifted over from pain being the criteria to some sort of self-awareness? Also, if someone doesn't care about being alive, is it okay to kill them?

Bingo. So idk that your vegan, tbh its probs good thingvthat the vegan market for foods is growing so people have an alternative source for food that will become cheaper as demand grows. But there will always be a market for beef. But once people realuze that vegan shit is raping the earth just as bad as the meat marlet idk.....

For example i eat Qioua cause it funds african wars cause tribes are murdering each other for farm land to sell to sally supermarket organic. But you dont see that on the package now do you....

Attached: creepy_susie_by_fallenjrblue_d8m9gm9-350t.jpg (350x350, 16K)

>So now you've shifted over from pain being the criteria to some sort of self-awareness?
both matter, don't they?
A brain-dead person in a hospital is still alive, but doesn't have rights.

>both matter, don't they?
Do they really, or do you just think they matter because they are properties that humans happen to have?
>A brain-dead person in a hospital is still alive, but doesn't have rights.
I can waltz into a hospital and rape and kill brain-dead people?

>I can waltz into a hospital and rape and kill brain-dead people?
doctors can kill them (disconnect the wires), because they aren't a legal person anymore. It's clear that they are both living and don't have rights.

Answer my question. Can I waltz into a hospital and rape and kill brain-dead people? If the answer is not yes then clearly something is going on.

>If the answer is not yes then clearly something is going on.
the answer is not yes, what is going on?

the future is bright

Attached: 12.jpg (960x960, 114K)

>what is going on?
Clearly there must be some rights involved that prevent me from doing so.

>Clearly there must be some rights involved that prevent me from doing so.
yes, because we think that a human body can't be mistreated and stuff like that because of tradition

So then the claim that they don't have rights is false, correct?

Reading loser thread.

Eating meat.

Love.

Attached: 1534117279915.jpg (413x395, 67K)

Hence why I think you're a god damn fucking nigger.

>So then the claim that they don't have rights is false, correct?
yes.
Let me rephrase. A braindead person doesn't hold most of the rights that a normal person holds, possibly not the same rights at all but different rights.
They have different rights, i.e. not a right to not be killed by a doctor because we recognize that they don't need them.
Because they can't feel pain and because they don't have self-awareness.
Which was my original point.

b8

idk, maybe because you are dumb?

if it works, it works

>Because they can't feel pain and because they don't have self-awareness.
Is that the actual reason though, or is it that they no longer have the potential to function as members of our society? Your pain criteria is pretty easily dismissed, unless you think it would be perfectly fine to kill someone as long as you do it painlessly. That just leaves self-awareness, a pretty nebulous concept. What makes a human self-aware?

i'd probably eat people too if it was socially acceptable within our culture, healthy and not a horrible crime.
or maybe not. maybe then i'd switch to being a vegetarian. who knows.

Attached: avoidharming (1).jpg (2000x2000, 261K)

You know i have to say
all these proposed by these comics really seems assume that humans need to apply a moral law to other animals that isnt applied to us by them
like if a black bear finds you in the woods, he damn well may eat you
whether he is all that hungry or not
he doesnt give a fuck
a fail to se why its incombant on human to care about species who are apathetic towards us

>implying that an unborn fetus can want anything

even dead people have rights.
also, brain dead people are dead. period.
this is how we understand life: no brain, no life.

Don't dwell over it, this is a social construct, things are complicated. I can make a brain-dead person orgasm, yes, someone may be dead and still cum. let that sink in for a bit. It is akin to a headless chicken running around or ikizukuri.

I am not sure we are doing things the right way, but thinking about it will just hurt your head. it is like being sure.

are you sure? But are you sure you are sure? But are you sure you are sure you are sure?

this goes on forever. So does the debate about meat. It can go on forever. It has no real answer. The best answer we can give is: if people do not eat meat, it is very tough - but not impossible - for them to be healthy.

what if i eat meat only once a week and only from a small farm, my stepfather runs, where I know the animals by name?

if you do that you would realize that it is easy to live without meat and stop eating meat entirely.

>well then you are just easy to impress
after he/she made clear he/she is not the impressed one.

it is. it doesn't mean that eating meat in general is bad. theres lots of land that cannot be used as crop fields and thus is best used for cattle and so on. eating meat is ok. mindlessly eating chicken nugs is not, tho.

>it doesn't mean that eating meat in general is bad.
well nowhere in that post was it stated that meat in general is bad. In this thread that was discussed though.
>theres lots of land that cannot be used as crop fields and thus is best used for cattle and so on.
well yes, if you want to maximize methane output and not want that land to be in its natural state.
>eating meat is ok.
yes yes, everyone does it it can't be bad.
Look we are just talking about the morality of eating meat in this thread but you are clearly not capable to participate.
>mindlessly eating chicken nugs is not, tho.
like I said

These comics are really fucking stupid you know?
I am Anti-Spe and think you are doing more harm than good. If you try to convince people to go vegan, guilt tripping and attacking them verbally is going to achieve the exact opposite.

what have you done today?

Veganism is a terrible diet choice. If you choose to put your health below the lives of livestock then you deserve the miserable life you are going to make for yourself.

An animal is not sad that it dies. It does not think and therefore is unable to clinge to life as humans tend to do. It is afraid, panicking and has very very horrible last minutes/seconds, tho.
This is why I only eat meat from animals that had a good life in the greens and were killed without pain or long transportation before.
I witnessed it and it did touch me, but I decided, that I find it ok, as long as certain circumstances are given.

If you expect this video to change the opinion of 1k b-tards, which watch gore/rekt-threads all day long you obviously are not the brightest.
