So I have an opportunity to buy a 1944 ww2 Mosin Nagant. Should I?

That depends on the supply demand function pursuant to your present socieeconomic status

But probably

Only if u use it to an hero

if its under 300 go for it

You should get a pre-WWI Ross Rifle.

if you're getting it for a decent price... sure. military surplus bolt action rifles are great fun.

a friend has one and it is bloody amazing. go for it.

If the barrel is good and not counterbored and the rifle is under $300 go for it.

Is it less than $250? If not then absolutely not. Those things are so common I have five in good condition that all cost between $60-$90.

There's literally millions of these floating around.
Matching serials?
Condition?
How much is it?

Miss the good ol' days when they were just under $100...
Their ammo was dirt cheap too.

Now it's like everyone wants around $350-$400 for one.
And even higher for a one in excellent condition.

8 years ago these were a dime-a-dozen. Lee Enfields were like $140

You'd get at least 4x-5x the amount if you were to sell them. Possibly more.
These days they're more expensive for some retarded reason.

If it's around $200, go for it. I love mine. Be sure to check the windage on the front sight though. It might need some tapping to get it accurate. Good luck OP.

Dont let someone RIP you off by saying it's a ww2 rifle. Ask to see the manufacture stamp/s behind the rear sight post and look em up and price them on gun broker. Check the rifling isn't corroded by seeing if the first two inches of the barrel is backfired. If it is I wouldn't go over 100

Backbored

Id buy it as long as you dont pronounce the name like a fucking french faggot

Yes.

Yes

If you have to ask Yea Forums of all places, then you don't deserve to have it.

Would not go for anything over 1700 Op.

Yep, paid $85 shipped for mine covered in cosmoline.

Only a fucking retard would pay more than $100. Its literally a waste of ammo and damages your ears and shoulder

>Its literally a waste of ammo and damages your ears and shoulder
What kind of tiny, wimp ass pussy are you that you can’t shoot 7.62x54R without complaining about shoulder pain?
Come shoot my 10gauge turkey gun, then you can complain.
Also use ear pro - that’s what it’s fucking for.

If only they made some sort of device to protect your hearing from loud things...

What?! They make hearing protection now?

No but I'm sure someday they will

If that's what you want. I wouldn't, because mosin's aren't my thing. But if their yours, then but it

>Yep, paid $85 shipped for mine covered in cosmoline.
Preobama certainly. They're about $250 now.

>Its literally a waste of ammo and damages your ears and shoulder
It's not any more waste of ammo than literally any other gun.
Also it won't damage your hearing as much as a shot gun, and if it hurts your shoulder you're a baby bitch boy. I literally never understood the shoulder crying. Learn to hold the rifle. If you don't know if it will hurt or not, pull the rifle into yourself, if it hurts you're holding the rifle wrong.
I've got 3 mosins and mosins are peak bolt action.
