Look, just google HPV prevalence. It's not hard. Not everyone who comes into contact with it shows symptoms. There's like twenty variations of the virus and only some cause warts. It's mostly a problem for women due to it sometimes causing cervical cancer. I'm kind of surprised I have to explain this shit.

My wife's sister had sex with only one other person than her husband before she was with him, and she has got HPV. She had to tell her husband she has HPV and he has it too now. It's not that big of an issue, she just uses meds to treat it.

Yeah, your right it isn't really a big issue when compared to something chronic like herpes. It's spread by simple skin contact so like I said - very prevalent and common. Thankfully, not a big deal and easy to treat/prevent.
