I'm no expert, but I imagine it's because the telescope had to be zoomed in really, really, really far to see the black hole. There's a limit to how sharp pictures can be when the image is reflecting off a microscopically scratched and bumpy mirror surface, like they are in space telescopes.

Option 2: work out the logistics behind not being able to see different constellations from the same place on Earth, if the Earth is flat. If the Earth were flat, looking up from high enough should allow you to see all the constellations, like getting from behind the goalpost should allow you to see the entire stadium ceiling. Since you can't, this must mean that you are actually looking an entire other direction than where you would be looking, if you traveled far south of the Earth to see the Big Dipper. The Earth has to be round for that to work.
