I believe it does harm girls at that age because they can't fully grasp the concept of sex, they may say they do, they may think they do, but they don't, no one really knows until they're older and have seen and experienced more things and had the social interactions with their friends and hearing about their experiences and through other means and figuring things out on their own, and that all takes time. I agree, I only did a little paragraph on it, can't be arsed to type more about it, but I'm mainly talking about legality and morality as a whole, probably over 50% of girls/boys under 16 can make informed consent on having sex but it's about protecting the average person/most people.

When you get to 16 you are viewed more as an adult in society and can be more independent, biologically you are more developed and usually smarter, MOST people can make the decision to have sex, the law is there to protect the 30% or whatever that CAN'T make informed consent, when you get to like 16 the majority of people understand what happens when you have sex, some cultures view that you aren't mature enough to have sex until 20, some view it at 12, depends on the culture, and a multitude of factors.

Interesting point you bring up, I feel the same way. I never had any female attention when I was younger and I saw all my friends would get girls so I developed a severe sense of inferiority and I've chalked it up to a multitude of shortcomings and failures on my part.
