Finally did it boys ! Got my own apartment! It just happens to be under my parents house , still pretty sweet ,every once and a while the landlord has to come down to get some things put of the pantry but you know ,feels good to be a man of my own

My first apartment was a bedbug ridden studio on the second floor of a soon-to-be-condemned building. The 14 stairs were crooked and had exposed nails, and the floor was so sloped that there was a pile of dropped pencils on one side of the room (they rolled there from various distances). The stove and fridge worked, but the toilet leaked and the water was often brown.
The building used to be a single house before being split into 4 apartments. The one i had featured a bathroom that was built from two adjacent closets, as an afterthought. One closet had the toilet, and a standing shower with an exposed wooden frame and no fixtures for curtains, so the floor always got soaked. The other had the sink, and a hole in the wall that reached the stairway outside.
The bedbugs were so bad I had to throw away almost all my possessions. My car became a quarantine zone where i kept my clothes. I would definitely call this a lesson on selfworth and having a standard of living.
After 6 months in tge slumlife, a business partner offered to let me rent the house he just moved his family out of, and Im still there. The improvement of my quality of life led me to gain confidence, fix my depression, get a girlfriend, start lifting, etc.

First place was athletic dorm. Then daughter of booster set me up in nice apartment that had a private racquet and fitness club next door. While there built my first house. Moved in at 24.
