its ok i guess. not much different from LA or any other major city.
How bad are the summers there?
Are you considering moving there?
I’ve heard Nevada’s overall economy is shit. Can’t confirm but just heard
Hot as shit. Crime is a major problem unless you live in a nicer part of town too.
There is lots of money. I've also never seen so many homeless people in my life.
>Are you considering moving there?
yeah, but I work in the consumer goods business so anywhere in a major metro i'll be fine
>Hot as shit. Crime is a major problem unless you live in a nicer part of town too.
Im in Los Angeles
Pretty bad. We get temperatures from 105-115 on average in the summer. Good thing is though it only last a few months and then weather year around in beautiful.
Sounds better than Phoenix, which is my other option
>There is lots of money. I've also never seen so many homeless people in my life.
This, basically.
I went and stayed in an airbnb about a mile off the strip for an academic conference last summer. It was weird to see Trump Tower's golden windows in the background while a dude living in a shopping cart asked me for heroin money. The guys name was Gabriel. I still think about it some times; ive never felt simultaneously so grateful and ungrateful. But where you have absurd wealth, absurd impoverishment is sure to be nearby.
Originally from Phoenix with family in Vegas. Basically the same place. Vegas is farther from the border but still crime ridden. I live way way far away from the border now and I love it.
I moved here a year ago and I'm moving back to Utah. (Mormonville) in the first three months I got robbed at gun point, the store next to me got robbed as well I've had someone try to break into my house while I was there. Had my gun and he was almost through the front door and gave up. Good for him because I was going to shoot him. Took the police 45 minutes to show up because of how much other shit they have to deal with.

Im in LA, criminals are literally moving here from out of state to rob people since theyre so lenient with the punishment
How many people lose their life savings or become homeless/druggies when they move there? Too many vices
Vegas is fine if you can afford to live in one of the safer neighborhoods, summerlin and anything north of it is pretty chill but stay away from downtown and nlv.
I'm super curious about Las Vegas
It's fact that the city purposely undereports their crime statistics to the FBI so that they won't loose them tourism dollars.
Hot as hell.
>It's fact that the city purposely undereports their crime statistics to the FBI so that they won't loose them tourism dollars.
Most cities do this though. You think Orlando or LA are safe
I'll be moving there in about a month. My gf and I got a place she's been living there a few years now. I've visited a few times and love it. We ended up getting a place in the nice part of north Las Vegas. She tells me all the time how quiet and nice it is. As long as you don't live near the strip and check the crime reports of places you might like to live you'll be fine
Been living here 5 years, stayed in Henderson and Central Las Vegas most of the time, it's honestly not that bad as long as you stay away from the strip and away from North Las Vegas.
Everywhere around the strip is Mexican gangs and nigger gangs and north town is just niggers.
Summerlin and Henderson are the nicest places to live, Henderson's pretty cheaper since they are only recently starting to really develop shit out here.
Summers are hot as fuck with little to no rain
If you don't have a car there's public transit options for anywhere in town
Lotta work available too as long as you know people and aren't a nigger.
>border
>crime ridden
spotted the trumptard, because mexicans are bringing the crime am i right
I grew up in Phoenix, visited Vegas a lot. Doesn't seem like the suburbs are much different.
Basically it's just a huge sprawl with cookie cutter houses built around strip malls that all house the same chain restraunts and stores. It just hot as HELL to the point where you really don't think about the fact that you run your AC 10 months of the year 24/7.
I moved to Seattle where there's more culture, jobs, and mountains/lakes/ocean. Lots of homelessness but that wasn't any different in Vegas or Phoenix.
How bad is NLV compared to say Compton?
I grew up here and visit from time to time. It's okay, the real estate is cheap. You can get a really baller house much cheaper than California and there's no state taxes. The nice neighborhoods like good spots in Summerlin are away enough from all the tweaker messes. If you're a poor fag, then its a good place to go to to get away from Amazon/Walmart death jobs and into casino jobs which can pay a bit more but are still a dead end.
The idea situation would be to work remote and make bay area six figures but live in Vegas in a nice neighborhood and pay very little in terms of taxes and mortgage/rent.
There's lots of hot girls and a solid night life in the downtown area for locals but also a lot of transient people who don't want to settle down anywhere or build a life.
Are you basing all of your questions off of shit you hear? Fucking google something.
> hurr durr NWA Compton fuck the police amirite
my cousin lived there for like 6 months, moving from LA, hes like its boring af, everyone there is a criminal and Mexican gangs are all over the place
from LA bud... its pretty shit here too
are you saying its gentrified? cause it not
You'll need a good cardboard box.
Vegas is Mormonville. It's called Sin City for a reason. Mormons got rich off sinful gentiles. Their "Zion" is right next door
Why? I have a job lined up
patrolling the Mojave almost makes me wish for a nuclear winter
It's just as nigger ridden but far less crime. Move to Vegas, carry a gun on you at all times and you won't have to deal with any shit.
Flying over those vast neighborhoods of cookie cutter houses just makes my jaw drop. It's just so surreal coming from Vermont.
Yes, ask the people who actually live near the border you twat.
It kinda is bro. There’s a Best Buy where shootings used to go down. It’s not as bad anymore.
That photo isn't the suburbs at all btw it's more like the ghetto east side.
Bad enough to make you wish for a nuclear winter
I've lived in gentrifying areas before, I wouldn't try that in Compton. Even the nicer areas still look scary
He was asking for heroin money, he bought his misery, nice trying to tie Trump into this though you leftist shitter

California buses all their criminals to Vegas and Phoenix
might move out there to be closer to my gfs family, how can you compare it to california? looking to start a career and a better life.
my bad, im
asking about nevada and not vegas specificallly
>how can you compare it to california?
Its basically the inland empire but way lower COL, lower crime, and hotter
would it be an upgrade?
definitely, since its a tourism town, theres alot of stuff to do, not including nature. desert cities in California are terrible, very run down.
my grandfather took me to ride horses with cowboys in nevada. now i'm tempted to just throw all my money away and blow my fucking brains out.
Reno is a better city
Fuck all those roads
im a pnw native lived in palmdale/lancaster for 3 years, shitty part of my life, about to be done in 2 months after the lease is over
>desert cities in California are terrible
you can say that again
Vegas is a great place to live if you have a decent job ($50k+) and dont gamble compulsively. Terrible if you are on the SOR as a newly minted tier 3. gotta report in person every 90 days. They want you to fuck up and go back to jail.
I loved Nevada, but Nevada can burn in hell now that they changed the registration laws.
Palmdale and Lancaster is where the priced out people move to, basically where the trash gathers
the crime rates here are memed up because of how sleazy the place is. the crime in Chicago is 10x worse.
the police here have so much funding. they can afford to fly that fucking chopper all fucking day and if you're a gun owner and they have to show up to your house for any reason they'll just send SWAT and use a flashbang to knock on the door.
you just don't wanna raise children here. this is the place you come to when you're retired or don't have to worry about money.
What is that in actual normal temperatures? I love the US but your temp measurement system is dumb as fuck. Water freezes at 0 and boils at 100 degreees.
Henderson is one of the best places to raise a family, rigt next to Plano,TX and Bergen,NJ. Obviously the city is a shithole
sorry. you tend to forget Henderson exists when you live in Summerlin. prolly vice versa too.
would you mind comparing reno amd vegas then? I dont have any real skills so would be looking for entry level jobs. Only have a 2 year degree.
Couple of months at 0 -5 c, 3 months in spring T 10c 3 months in summer at 43 can get to 47 regularly - I once saw it hit 50c sept - oct goes from 47c to 15 c
>ask about american city
>hurr why you americans use your measuring system
100f = ~38c
Reno, personally I think is more safe, easier to get an entry level job but Vegas is definitely more fun
Are there not like lots of hot sexy girls living there? Showgirls etc.
>low humidity
Lmao whiny yanks. Try living in Ausfalia where you have zero freedom AND it's 110 F with 90% humidity.
How do you know anything about the girls in the nightlife scene, incel?
Here’s a photo from two blocks from a Walmart .....rainbow drive at post road
Hot as balls, traffic fucking sucks, Vegas is a shithole.
Is Vegas not contained in a small area?
