I've only played it solo/small group private hosted server so I can't really say about large tribe warfare or politics, but it's pretty cool for the first hundred or so hours. Eventually it get very tedious trying to prepare for the end-game content.
Just don't screw yourself by starting out with high drop/harvest rates, after that the defaults take ages to acquire anything. A mod I'd highly suggest is Death Recovery if you're only playing private/solo games, otherwise I believe it's restricted on official maps.

A fucking greatsword with a weird dual bec-de-corbin ending mirrored on both sides of the tip, with no crossguard. The balance will ie about 1/2 or further down the blade due to that huge tip and no pommel or counterweight.

I don't hate fantasy at all. Fantasy is probably my favorite genre. However, the weapon is retarded. That's my qualm about the image and the only thing that jumped out at me that's worth griping about. Just lop off that weird bec de corbin head and put some of that metal as a counterweight below the grip, and you've got a perfectly functional greatsword. Ideally add a crossguard too, but, can't get everything. It's not great but the weird coin guard it has can suffice.
It's great art but I'm not going to MAKE UP reasons for it to exist in a way that makes sense. I understand that they exist but they aren't communicated in that piece. So, naturally, I'm drawn to what stands out to me: the sword/pick.
Game of Thrones has some solid realism at play. Am I going to complain about the dragons? No, of course not. Why? There's an in-medium explanation for them. The piece of art doesn't leave me wondering why something exists in general. That's a benefit to film, whereas static pieces are often limited by one communicative form and that's it.
