I spent 4 years in a seminary studying to become a Catholic Priest. Left because I could eventually tell it wasn't going to be the right life for me long term.
Ask whatever you want to know about the training, environment, my opinions on things related.
How often did you masturbate?
At first I was very gung ho and I'd go long stretches without doing it then crash. Longest I ever went was about a month. Later on I didn't care and I'd just do it every day.
what gives with all the homos and kiddie fiddlers? or were you too short in there to get in on it? some ex-priest got shoahd for speaking up about it.

They try to screen them out now. Stricter than years ago, more pedos got in then. If you're flaming gay they might not take you now. But its hard to assess that with some guys.

What kind of questions do they ask to tell if you’re a pedo?
How rigorous was the scholastic work, did you have any college experience before the seminary, and how would you compare the two?

did a computer test showing images to see if you linger too long on something you're not supposed to. also interview and other questions to try to tell if you're lying or bullshitting them.
I'd say a little less rigorous in some ways but depended on the class. i had just finished college when i entered. depended on the professor
Did you have a degree when you entered, and how typical was that among your peers?
I'd say about half and half. I had a BA. other guys had finished college or had a good amount of college credits. The other half had gone in right after high school.
What are your future plans now that you are out?
I have a pretty good PR job for the city i live in. So no problem. I've been out for a few years.

i was studying to become a pastor in a pentecostal christian church
had exactly the same problem as you, but something that bothered me deeply was that i knew everybody did it, including the fully fledged pastors, but nobody could or would openly talk about it.
i once openly confessed to the pastor i just wasn't able to hold it back, and he looked at me with a face of disgust and reprehension, and that's when i quit because the hypocisy was just too much to handle. that pastor kept checking out the women at church and i was supposed to believe i was some kind of monster.
what's your experience with sinful hypocrisy in the catholic church?
Yes I saw hypocrisy. The kind that stands out most of all was over money. If a parish was rich or parishioners rich and big donors and complained, then they would get their way and priests could get thrown under the bus.
In the training, I didn't encounter exactly the same hypocrisy as you with but similar with a few preachy individuals who had these supposed big conversions and acted like they were superior and perfect - until getting caught fucking around on vacation or pulled over with dui.
Did roumors spread bout that nuns/kiddyrape thing? Did you know any pedo? How is that shit handeled in inner circles?
Now that you're out, do you suck more or fewer dicks than when you where in?
nun stuff I can't even imagine. most nuns i encountered were bitter old feminists. so that had to be decades ago.
I really don't know how the shit was handled in inner circles other than some priests were transferred rather than thrown out. Most of the culprits with this were in the 1980s and then years later someone would come forward. Or an old retired bishop would suddenly be in trouble in public opinion. But a lot of them were and are dead now. Again, in my time in the seminary, they had really tried to clamp down on the admissions process to root out potential problems

in my church there was some big trouble with money too. i'm sure you know these pentecostal churches are just a slight definition of the word away from being outright fraudsters, scaring the faithful in a life in hell if they didn't detach themselves from their earthly possessions. they always mentioned acts 4:35, it made me feel sick to my stomach.
problem was money was very obscurely managed, the pastors claimed they passed all money to the central administration and only received a small fixed salary to help with costs, but all of them competed with eachother who had the best suits and the latest iphone watches

Do you guys actualy believe it? What I mean is ... Do you guys know and accept the líes that religion embrace?, do you accept that a book made by cave people should still be followed word by word? Christians tend to make any text found that doesnt follow the standars apocryphal, why not show the religion as it is, why lie to the people.

No I still practice my religion. Try to be righteous but of course I could do better. I was always a bit more laid back with it though, even when I was a seminarian
