I have a very amusing situation with me right now...I collect vintage victorian things, Yea Forums. I've done so for some time now...however, today I stumbled upon a vase that looks like the one in pic related. However, when I brought it home, my family said "this is a victorian vase" and even though it is porcelain and naturally heavy, it is quite heavier than it looks like it should be...some friends and family thinks its full of ashes, some don't. It has a removable top lid, but there is another lid that is glued shut. I would try to remove the glue, but it is also threaded from the bottom.
I am offering $50 and a box of beer to any local friends that want to open it to see if there is anything inside, and I have also taken it out of my house because I'm spooked right now. Thoughts anons?

open it and post, doubt theres ashes.

I legit dont have the screw thing to open it

Well, if they ACTUALLY look like pic related, then they're urns. Could you post pics of the actual objects in question? Their are a couple discerning features of real urns.

let me run outside and take pictures of it...I legit don't want it in the house right now, keep the thread alive anons

picture one of it

bump for curiosity

Picture two of it. As you can see, there is a bottom part that is threaded with a metal bolt so I can't see what exactly is inside.

On the other side of this, there is a decorative handle that isn't exactly for picking up as it is too thin and fragile, just to give you all an idea.

inb4 mummified body parts inside the vase

I fucking hate death, I don't even want to open it and literally am waiting for someone to come along for me to PAY them to open it, do I take it to the morgue?

I understand it's heavy. Maybe im just not taking into consideration the heavy porcelain and metal thread.

it looks too "victorian" to be an urn, if you know what i mean. never seen an urn shaped like that.

I doubt honestly if there really is anything inside. Also, the shop where I got it from is a place where people take things and wait for items to sell in order to make money, and when the items sell, then the shop keeper makes a profit, kinda like a vintage pawn shop...I doubt the seller of this vase would sell anything with a corpse inside right?

Also, the shop keeper ironically asked "huh are there ashes in here?" He seemed uneducated but didn't know what to think of it.

>I stumbled upon
as in bought it, stole it, found it?
If you paid for it you didn't know what it might be at the time?

Whatever the case man, open the damn thing.

I paid for it from a shop but dont know if there is anything inside

It is sealed very tightly and the bottom requires a tool to unscrew it, I have a friend opening it tomorrow but I literally don't have the tools lest I break it.

Yeah nigga. That shit cursed as fuck.

> I'm spooked right now.

It amazes me how people get spooked with simple objects. Religion fucks people up.

Religion has nothing to do with it FUCKING CORPSE DUST IS GROSS

>this fucking thread

Just drill a hole through the part thats glued and shine a light, its not like theres any functionality to it.. and you have a top to it so the hole wont be visible ... give us answers OP

>implying everyone has a sharp drill that can go through brass.

this just goes to show youve never used a drill in your life lmaooooo
