What does Yea Forums think about pit bulls?

I've stopped choosing by breed, I tried a few dogs at the shelter. The one that seemed to play best with other dogs just happened to be a pit.

See, this is the shit that fucks with me.

But, I had a lab when I was a kid that goult our a couple times the last time was when my sister and I, probably 8-10, tracked her down and watched her murder a stray cat and then bring its body down onto the beach.

My parents put her down after that because we had two cats and another smaller dog and they were afraid she might hurt one kf them or us.

It was and still is to this day the most I have ever seen my father cry while we were giving her her last meal before taking her to the vet.

Ill neverforget that. And she was most definitely no pit bull.

That sounds lovely. The place I live doesn't really have a shelter where there are dogs. There's only ever a couple that need to be adopted and they're never all in one place.

Also, I'm too shit scared to adopt a full grown or even large puppy dog right now. I have a cat rhat is absolutely fucking terrified of dogs. My sisters came to visit and he spent the whole weekend almost completely immobile ontop of the fridge looking like he was about to have a heart attack. I think he needs a puppy first to get used to the idea of dogs.

They suck

When testing the puppers at the shelter I had my eye on a the most beautiful lad-collie mix, was great with people but jumped any dogs.
The pit I tried was great with people and dogs. 3 years in and she's still a big baby and gets along fine with my old lab.

I've never owned a cat and dog at the same time. My sister has a Brichon Frise and a cat. The cat is actually the alpha in that relationship, lol.
