What makes reddit so much more successful than here?

What makes reddit so much more successful than here?

The names and the ego that goes with notoriety

Less pedos

Kids from iFunny exist on here

no forced porn ads

Organization and forced politeness threatened by tyrannical mods who are no different than corrupt cops. Not to mention homosexual af.

Accountability. Not for illegal content but for these horrible trap and dick rate mental illness threads. Like some motherfucker post pictures from Facebook of fully clothed girls. Like wtf is that? Just go fap on Facebook and stop shitposting. The good threads have been buried under an avalanche of complete and utter degenerate (faggot) trash

Roll

You're joking right?
Most people here are teenagers and the rest are NEETS with maybe 5% who dont fit either of those descriptions.

Everyone's unhinged so the community just fucking eats itself.

We have threads like "why are nazis a bad thing" and the endless partisan threads that Vlad and co unrelentingly post.

There is no system to determine what is shit and what is not, and it is self moderating within its own community so that you don't have cunts from /fit/ moderating posts from /politics/ or whatever it may be.

The porn ads are the least of our concern in this regard, i could go on forever.

normie shit will always be popular

>normie
man i wish i was back in 2016 what a wild ride the last 3 years have been

it feeds off of peoples need to be known

Guess you weren't around in 2008 when r/Jailbait was sub of the year.

Depends on how you define "success."
Reddit has 80+ million users. That doesn't make it the better site.
Most of those people are there because of the voting system and the ability to censor people.
People that avoid reddit are avoiding it because of that.

This is why I don't go there

fuckin almost nobody was though. i remember seeing reddit for almost a decade before i even thought to look into what it was.

Normies and a good reputation

It's clean. Yea Forums is amazing with it's freedom of speech (to some point) combined with it's anonymous post system, but these elements also bring things that most people will hate the platform in long terms, it gets creepy. There's no order here. Reddit gives you a safe feeling while surfing and viewing stuff, mods can be fucked up sometimes, but that's not a big deal. At the end, Yea Forums is wild fucked up place to discover while Reddit is a known place for you, nothing too fucked up to discover, but you'll like what you will see.

it is the better site though. like what content do you get on Yea Forums that you couldn't find on reddit that in your eyes makes this site superior?

The only advantage is that you can say whatever half-baked drivel your reptile brain has formed and just vomit it onto the internet with little to no accountability cuz people can't then cross-reference your other posts to determine that you are, in fact, some mouthbreathing flatfoot fuckwit.

There were over two million accounts subscribed at its peak.

I disagree man compared to like 2007 when i started to use this site there is WAY more moderation and order. Reddit still has largely unmoderated pockets. but there is no "pockets" with Yea Forums. it's so simple.

>determine that you are, in fact, some mouthbreathing flatfoot fuckwit.
They can though, just by virtue of you being here.

That's far more than i had suspected, but thats like 6x less people than were playing WOW at the time, like many factors less than the amount of users Yea Forums had seen (idk the exact figures, i think they were posted a long time ago when moot started getting big but it was like many millions of hits per day).

Interesting point, i have little to counter with.

Yea Forums has a very modern design and a great community don’t understand why it’s not the biggest forum

Let's be real. The reason /pol/ still exists is because /r/t_D exports a constant stream of new users to come to shit post there. Then there spillovers end up in other boards like here. We've successfully radicalized this site from a left-wing, pro-choice cat-loving faggots who love blacks to redpilled, conservative critical thinkers. You're welcome faggots

t. Oldfag since 2007

Okay u got me there lmao

>modern
>great community

This website hasn't changed in a decade.

More user friendly interface with tons of personalized features.

It's sarcasm

Basically, normie comfort, dull, no sharp edges or challenges

I think we just stepped away from Yea Forums for a long while, grew up, and after all this political disruption a few of the older users have come back to see what's changed.

and it's a shitstorm lol.
This user summarizes the problem very well. I'm not rose tinted either, quality OC wasnt like every day but i don't remember almost each and every thread being so... boring?

Having pedo and trap/gay shit all the time is also not that amazing

>like what content do you get on Yea Forums that you couldn't find on reddit
Nothing because reddit has no original content and just takes it from other sites.
The difference is that the content is original to Yea Forums and I can freely enjoy it here without having to wait for some attention-whoring faggot such as yourself to copypaste it for upvotes.
>accountability for online posts
That right there is why reddit is utter garbage. Instead of trying to argue against the post you want to read irrelevant shit and change the subject because reddit is for making shitty puns and assuming that whoever gets the most upvotes wins the argument.
You think brigading will change the fact that the guy you "downvoted into oblivion" is correct? This is why you were all so shocked when Trump won the election.
Imagine having to walk on eggshells with every post. Whenever I do visit reddit, every other posts begins with shit like
>blah blah blah BUT, blah blah
or
>as a X i think Y
That kind of faggoty softening of blows because "muh karma" just makes the site a pain in the ass to read.
There's not a single genuine thought on that site.

Reddit..whatever happened to 9gag?

The fact that reddit isn't 90% porn

kek

Fresh off the boat, from reddit, kid? heh I remember when I was just like you. Braindead. Lemme give you a tip so you can make it in this cyber sanctuary: never make jokes like that. You got no reputation here, you got no name, you got jackshit here. It's survival of the fittest and you ain't gonna survive long on Yea Forums by saying stupid jokes that your little hugbox cuntsucking reddit friends would upboat. None of that here. You don't upboat. You don't downboat. This ain't reddit, kid. This is Yea Forums. We have REAL intellectual discussion, something I don't think you're all that familiar with. You don't like it, you can hit the bricks on over to imgur, you daily show watching son of a bitch. I hope you don't tho. I hope you stay here and learn our ways. Things are different here, unlike any other place that the light of internet pop culture reaches. You can be anything here. Me ? heh, I'm a judge.. this place.... this place has a lot to offer... heh you'll see, kid . . . that is if you can handle it...

As someone who's been here for 12 years, and been using Reddit for ~1 year, I can say Reddit is interesting. I could be on Yea Forums for maybe 6 hours and not find a good thread. As soon as I go onto Reddit, there's that instant hit of information/gratification.

I hate to admit it, but the rating system is what makes Reddit great. Yea Forums was always shit, but people gotta stop with the same shit over and over (not even talking bout copypasta).
