Hey Yea Forums if any of y'all know anything about rahses or skin or anything like that any input would be appreciated

Nope not Shingles - doesn't follow a dermatome. But the fact that it hurts, itches, and is bleeding means it's not just dermatitis. Sertraline can have some serious skin conditions, but less likely (though more likely if he just started it). Plus I START 5 year olds on 25mg, so I hope he just started it and is titrating to a therapeutic level. As for the Depakote - not a horrible choice with someone with ID and anger issues. But I hope he tried like the 4 other meds that are more appropriate. But I assume Depakote ER 250mg at bedtime. That, again is a baby dose. I have never started anyone on a dose that small. Should start at minimum 250mg (of ER or DR) 2-3 times a day, with max guided by blood levels he SHOULD be getting at a regular basis. Usual effective dose is minimum of 1000mg ER aQM and 2000mg ER qhs. But blood levels should decide this.

But this is of topic. If he just started on the sertraline or the depakote (or even if he didn't), he has a diffuse, painful, itchy rash (and it's NOT shingles), GET HIM TO A HOSPITAL. It's likely an ADR or some nasty infection.

Hey OP, I also suffer from a skin rash which doctors havent been able to identify, albeit much smaller, it couldnt hurt to try some of the things I use to keep my rash in check, a few being drink lots of water, take cold showers, apply moisture creams (doesn't have to be prescription), if it is winter time where you are that might also be part of the problem, as there is less moisture in the air.

all and all though I recommend seeing a doctor.

pour a gallon of bleach on it
