I (unfortunately) live in a predominately hispanic and asian (Chinese I believe) area. They: >never cover their mouth when they cough or sneeze. They could cough right on you and then just give you a blank stare >they dump their trash literally anywhere, even though there's trash cans every block, and we have city garbage pick up >just fucking stop or stand in the middle of the sidewalk as you're trying to get by them >push past you onto the train, despite being ancient, and half your size >their children are loud and obnoxious, outside screaming all the time, and stomping up and down the stairs of the apartment
I thought in general there was supposed to be respect and discipline in asian cultures, but I'm seeing none.
That's a really good question, OP. But a lot of American parents are much the same. Mayeb you could do well to learn Chinese for "Get out of the way" and "Stop that" and "Be orderly" Also, checked And checked

>Asian cultures
Dude, Chinese and Japanese ain't the same. In fact, their respective cultures are pretty much exact opposites.
Japanese:
Consider even showing one's mouth ooen to be rude
Are ridiculously clean, and levy actual jail time for illegal dumping
Their kids are ridiculously well-behaved.
The pushing-past-you-on-the-train thing, I'll give you, but even that's the middle-aged women, and they're cunts in every country.

>predominately hispanic and asian >filipino trips found >mfw just yesterday my Hong Kong mate was ranting to me how he hates the mainland reds
I might do that. It may work, though they might be in shock from me knowing Chinese. Yeah, I know. It's probably mainly a Chinese population around, with some SE Asia thrown in. If I've seen Japanese around here, then they I couldn't physically differentiate them as such, though I'd bet there's minimal to no Japanese.

i've noticed here, whenever you see someone rushing on the subway and shoving through people to beat them to a seat, it's always asian women. always. not even the nigs do that, but at least the asians won't start acting aggressive towards you for no reason like the nigs.
Camden Peterson
I can tell the difference, but that's likely the result of living in Japan for twelve years.
Benjamin Stewart
You live in lower Manhattan, OP? I go down to the arcades around Mott St. sometimes. Young Chinese people are rude as fuck and get really pissed off when a round-eye beats them at Marvel vs Capcom. The older ones seem to be hit or miss. Some of them are worse than the kids, and others are very friendly, even the ones who no speaka Engrish. U wan egg roll two for five?
Parker Brown
>though they might be in shock from me knowing Chinese All the better to get the message across. Something like "Bu yao" is "Stop that", but spoken Chinese is inflected in such a way that I am deaf to so you might have to ask google how to say it correctly.
Adrian Diaz
This is truth.
Here in Moonland, we call them "O-battleaxes", a pun on "Oba" (older woman, 叔母). They are absolutely insufferable.
Jaxon Edwards
because they are newly rich and do not know how to act
Brody Jones
Yep.
The term is "nong" from 農 (farming, farmer).
Jacob Lopez
because they hate hate fate white nerds. Youre a fucking eye sore, dude.
Justin Nguyen
not OP (i posted about how they act on the subways here) but are places like chinatown fair really good like arcades used to be? other good ones? i keep meaning to check it out but every time i'm down in that area just think nah maybe next time
Hunter Green
They have plenty of the old classics. Some if them are shitholes and the joysticks and buttons don't work right. I beat a chink at MvC with a broken medium kick button and he looked like he was ready to shoot the whole place up. But some of them have everything from Pac Man to Time Crisis to the wack-a-mole games. Mostly old nostalgia stuff, but that some people still take very seriously. They still have Street Fighter II tournaments and whatnot. You can have a good time out there, but bring some friends. The locals don't seem too interested in pal'ing around with the gwai lo. You'll probably end up playing a few games, having a beer by yourself, getting bored and leaving. You'll want some buddies there with you, unless the games alone are enough for you to have a good time
Logan Smith
cool cool. definitely need to go. half the time i'm down around that area is for nostalgia to begin with.. economy candy is a few blocks away. then of course i'm down there for the exchange on allen st

> I thought in general there was supposed to be respect and discipline in asian cultures,
Because all "asian cultures" are the same, eh, OP? Just one little corner of the world.
Chinese are rude because their parents were hick farmers. Simple as that.
Alexander Phillips
Since when
Nicholas Parker
>respect and discipline in asian cultures Enforced respect and discipline. They go batshit when not kept in line in some way.
