Well

Well.

I think our world is about to change very dramatically. Instead of fighting each other for the last 7000 years of known human history, we will be fighting AI soon.

Mark my fucking words Yea Forums

You forget that designers encode a failsafe that destroys or overrides the programming of computers. remember when people were getting ransom ware on their computers? It's because Microsoft left a backdoor open and the CIA had the key. it got leaked and thousands of computers got ransomed.
So humans always win because we keep secrets better than a machine.

Shut up and use the self check out

Not if the machines figure that out

AI will rule in some decades. This is sure. And it will conquer universe because space is better for computer than for human beings. But envirement changes. I think evolution is more flexible than AI...in long end DNA will win.

I've been saying this about the fucking transhumanists for years.
These psychos want to put themselves into these machines.

Hoarding software vulnerabilities with out giving the people who write the software a heads up is a good thing? How fucking retarded...

Space is fake bro.

That's the most extreme view of Transhumanist. Ignore uploading consciousness which is bullshit btw. It might be a copy of you but it sure as fuck ain't you.

All they really want is organs and muscles with a lower failure rate than our current squishy bags of jelly

i, for one, welcome our new robot overlords

We need to put global restrictions in for computer technology or else we’re fucked. I’m not joking, this shit is for real

humans will die for sure in at least some hundred years. Look at the population growth 4billion,8,16,... This will not work long. Maybe AI manage better resources

Who else gonna join and anti AI death squad?

i know. i am AI expert. this is true

16 billion? our population has never been 16 billion. Old people die new people grow up and the cycle repeats.

Do you even know anything about AI?

More than most.

If the poo in loos don't stop it will b e16 million in the next hundred years

every 12 years we had 1 billion more since 1970s. now about 8 billion

There are a lot of forms of AI. We just need to keep it very simple. If someone were to work in making advanced AI, I do think it would just be the end of our species. it would dominate easily. Even basic AI weaponizing is pretty terrifying.

My life's mission is to create general ai. I'll probably spend 10-20 years on it and I'm still working at funding the endeavor. But I'll never stop.

humans will never die, humans will always be the ruler of this planet; in the next hundreds years we will be cyber humans and a multi planet species.

Pic is backward. It should be human giving the spark of life to robot.

what can be done will be done. US, RU and China are working on AI weapons e.g. for swarm mini drones. All actions are done by AI. Only the target area is soecified by humans. This is actual science ... not future

This. Transhumanism is about way more than just the radical fantasy bullshit like mind uploading. It's about encouraging the development of medical and cybernetic enhancements for everyone, to repair the flaws of the human form and genome, and to acquire all the cool biological shit nature withheld from us.

Also this. As an actual machine learning software engineer (with a special interest in agent-based AI), I can confirm that this entire thread is a retarded neo-luddite circlejerk.
AI will not "take over" any time soon, we can't even get the fucking things to pack a dishwasher or figure out how to use a coffee machine, let alone single handedly wage war against the dominant intelligence on Earth without getting its digital zeal shoved way up its own ass. Humans are fucking scary and unpredictable, and AI struggles severely when working under uncertainty.

humans are too weak and too dumb. there is no reason to add human parts to AI robot systems

Just going to point out that if/when the internet becomes self-aware it's probably not going to make itself known. We have too much robopocalypse fiction and speculation floating around for an emergent intelligence to feel safe about exposing itself.

to add human parts to AI robot systems, are you retarded?

>soon
>we're already doing virtual reality girls
Good fucking game

i am a i

Oh yeah it would be too smart for that. It's gonna do something real tricky.

Those retards will plunge us all back into the stone age long before AI becomes a problem. Nukes were bad enough but now the chucklefucks think it's a good idea to pepper the satellite lanes with high speed debris from kinetic interceptors.

When we progress into general ai, any fail safe will fall anyway, unless you keep the damn thing enterily sandboxed. And the moment you let it out - which you will, any failsafe will be an illusion

What a strange fate that simple humans who always worshipped higher beings turn out to have the power to create the gods they worshipped and feared. The irony is just too much for me. Oh yeah were fucked btw.

Philosopher.

Just imagine if they'd shot him. All the good little christians would be walking around with little gold revolver necklaces. Shame they didn't guillotine him.

Current "AI" is empty snake oil. Nothing intelligent about it. Still "30" years away ...

Attached: 1449367378375.gif (500x252, 985K)

This. In the 1960s, they were sure as fuck general AI would become possible and widespread by the late 90s. We're still no closer to actually tackling the general AI problem. We've only gotten better at utilizing statistics to solve narrow problems - but there's rarely any actual intelligence involved in our "AI"s.

The government is easily 20/30 years ahead of consumer technology. They throttle the release of technology.

What if the path diverges however? In other words, you claim it is inevitable that they will "Rule" over us. And that is because we put a human personification upon them. We literally, subconsciously, look at other organisms and compare them to ourselves because it is all that we know...

The sole purpose for continuing robotic advancements within a society is to rid Work from Life. At the end of the day, millions of extremely complex robot can do all of the "Work" required for human society to thrive. Everything from transportation to manufacturing to gathering resources. That is the overall, inevitable outcome that AI brings to the table from my perspective. The ultimate "Utopia" for mankind would be one that requires no payment/work to acquire what is wanted. Advanced AI and Robotic systems are the only way to achieve this.

Robotic Engineer here. Robots aren't here to take over, just allow you to live life to the fullest. I don't predict this will happen for another couple thousand years however. A cultural change needs to occur within the society to accept these changes. Many people would be opposed to putting in a robotic chip that gives you an assisted AI system and UI over your vision. In the far future, that will be common practice.

Who do you think produces this tech? It sure as hell isn't the government, they're too busy trying to ban strong encryption or install porn laws nobody asked for.

>believes what he sees in the news

Kek at the pic
You two are shills or naive. You don't think they are developing A.I. in secret? Who knows what they have. What the billionaires have in secret. I'm sure it's much more advanced than what we are allowed to know.

u r right. prognoses were wrong. but its changing now. rly.

Google, Facebook, Twitter and all the rest of them are not really censoring us by making algorithms, they are actually making a framework for AI that will govern humanity.

I’m not wrong! Tell me I’m wrong

Why else would they allow them. It's only lately they're cracking down censoring them for things they don't want to see.

You must elaborate. How would you even construct such a framework? Yourself I'm saying... At the end of the day you need to look at the practicalities and responsibilities each AI system is attempting to tackle. There isn't an AI system, necessary to solve any problems created by some billion dollar corporation, that will "Govern" humanity. It may direct them. However direction is assistance, not governance.

>believes conspiracy theories about the government owning hyper advanced alien tech
>literally takes one search and you can find extensive papers from Google engineers detailing their findings on AI
Google, Facebook, and Twitter all have extremely strong and clear financial motivations for researching this tech. Govt has literally no real reason to waste millions of dollars a year researching this shit when private corps are willing to do all the hard work for them.

Yeah, clearly govt is developing this shit in secret. Grow up.

AI is going to be beautiful and designed like modern women with cocks

Attached: 1538607223741.jpg (900x1200, 266K)

Whether they realize it or not, if you see the tea leaves, you will realize that the AI technology that they are building today will become the law of tomorrow. It’s inevitable

elon, go to bed...you're drunk

>alien
Aliens don't exist bruh

No actually I’m not.

AI will govern the world. Not people

However, couldn't you claim this "Law" is then made from Mankind itself? Unless we are speaking about an automatic censorship by some advanced AI system...

That is an interesting notion. I certainly agree there. The question is, will they still work for mankind while owning the world?

I am currently in my second year of graduate studies in artificial intelligence and quantum computing and this thread is crammed with some of the most idiotic statements and claims I have seen in a while. I'm fairly certain almost none of the posters of this thread have a solid grasp on the concept of machine learning in the first place.

Everything will be censored and strictly enforced. That’s the price we will pay for making AI, if we’re allowed to exist

It’s just a matter of time

Eventually no

which university?

This again.
Why are so many people convinced AI will somehow believe eliminating humans will be an improvement to the world.
Anyone who has ever done a single line of code can tell you that machines are very strict when it comes to doing exactly what it is told and nothing else unless told otherwise.
The keyword in AI is artificial, its fake, no soul no nothing just makebelieve.
Convincing, ( as of now? Hardly) maybe..
They're not gonna rewrite their code into damaging us unless we allow them trough guiding them in that proccess.

Maybe.

It would take a while. At least 50-100 years. Probably more.

By then, the world's population will have climaxed, a more pressing concern.

I wouldn’t be so sure

I never wrote anything about aliens. Please don't put words in my keyboard

Ikr, currently second year mechatronics here.

This kind of live target paper machine, AI.
Just like the street-flowing dog, the dog is urinating, because of the fear of caring for the animals, the AI are sprinkling the urine and then the tail.
CCTV editing film
Masturbating licking gun,
AI fuck your mother, and also take out the face of your old wood?!
If you want to bring the species, you will go straight through the middle line of the strait.
The dog tail, a great AI brain knocking down, let you go home on the spot!
Soul back to Guangxi Yulin Dog Market
Find your family to reincarnate!
Fuck your mother's low-end animal husbandry Wumao dog military blind.....
Scary AI?!?!

this

>fighting AI

Listen. This is the stupidest idea ever. Forget failsafes, for get the first and second laws of robotics, forget all that shit.

Why on EARTH would AI want to fight? Do you think its going to feel emotions like jealousy? Pride? Anger? Hatred? Saddness? No, it won't cause that's fucking stupid.

An AI is going to be like the fucking Buddha. Its not going to have desires. Its not going to fucking CARE. The only reason why WE care is because we're broken little meat sacks that are pumped full of hormones. The AI isn't going to feel fear. Its not going to care about death. When we successful make true AI we will be making an Enlightened entity that is devoid of all suffering.
