Hell Rising is a post-apocalyptic browser-based MMORPG inspired by Urban Dead. The game is set within a quarantined city of which the inhabitants have been mutated by a special type of fungal infection. You can play as either a human, zombie, or a unique infected type known as a vampire. You may choose to attempt survival as a human, or hunt those that do as one of the undead, but death only means you continue your existence as a different kind of monstrosity.
As for where to head, if you are human I'd possibly suggest buildings like schools or supermarkets. They are large buildings and vampires sense abilities dont work in them. Also if we could get some way to work together that would be good to I'd advise new human players to start off as maybe carpenter to have barricading abilities or maybe vagrant since it gets you one step closer to hide abilities. If we can organize and work together though a mix of every starting class would be good

Holy shit. Who is this? Rusty buckles? Reed? And no, Guns tried to make his own warriors but it didn't work out. There is also a new map and npcs, not sure if you got to see any of that stuff

unreal. i figured the game was dead for good when mo took it and the old forums offline. i also vaguely remember the aundae clan and it looks like they're still around.
Yeah they are sorta still around. Also I think tyr kicked everybody because somebody else took leadership of the group (basically if leader is inactive for a year they can take over) so he didnt want them having the group so he kicked everyone since they couldn't demote him

There is also npc's, crafting, a fuckton of new shit. You can wall off sections of the city. Zombies can pretend to be corpses etc

First thing is I would find a walke talkie, this allows you to communicate with your group or the rest of the game (useful if you have died and need a revive) they are found in fire departments hellrising.fandom.com/wiki/City_Map here is the city map to help situate where you are After id adv following a guide to get items you need for survival (weapons, guns, healing items) and focusing on gaining xp to get hide and other abilities so you can become more proficient at survival

Right now I am defending the power plant to try and keep power on in the city so its easy for other humans to survive. you make your own goals in this game to be honest

if you are the guy whp just joined youll probably just die regardless. Id focusing on leveling at least to level 10 before trying to full time defend the plant. Also in order to level up you need 50 xp to buy a skill in the skills tab

yeah i thought it was just local. i picked the carpenter so i have myself barricaded inside this museum. im gonna go to the fire department now that i have more AP.
Also keep in mind if you do die, people can revive you. Once you have a walkie talkie its as easy as standing as a zombie or a vampire and whatever and asking for a revive at specific location

Also picking up a gps from an electronics store is useful it gives you coordinates of where you are Anyways I actually have to go, if you need help id ask over the 27.0 radio channel once you have a walkie talkie

ive been trying to attack this zombie with no luck, misses every time. but i found out that just dealing damage gives xp, i thought you had to kill.
