I used to like doremiposter. Then I saw that thread where he responded to a "doremi is not [s4s] culture"-poster by saying doremi is the most important part of [s4s] culture. I was already aware no one except doremiposter was really pushing for doremi to be part of [s4s] culture, and that's when I put 2 and 2 together and realized doremiposter has little to no respect for the existing culture of this board and just wants to push his own memes.
Dear doremiposter:
You seem nice, so I still have some faith in you. I've never seen anyone call you a hypocrite for calling them rude unless they were actually being rude and they're mad that they got called out. As for the alleged hypocrisy, when they mean it's rude to call them out for being rude so you're just as bad, I submit that while your methods may be kind of cringey and pushy, there's nothing rude about them because doing things that would normally be rude to people who are already being rude isn't rude itself, but simply situationally appropriate.
As for when they mean you're being hypocritical because you're calling them out for being rude when you yourself have posted some pretty not-nice things when completely unprovoked, well, for one thing, that's the "tu quoque" fallacy at work -- just because you do it too doesn't mean you're wrong to call them out on it, only that in doing so you must be prepared to accept upon yourself the blame you place on them -- BUT, THAT BEING SAID, I'm finally starting to see what they mean.
I still like you because you're nice to me. But please stop trying so hard to force memes the community has made plainly clear they don't want here. I think doremi looks cute and personally I have no problem with it, but the community has made their stance known, and, my higher allegiance being with them, I must defer to it and implore you either do the same or leave.
I'm truly sorry if this breaks your heart to hear, but doremi is NOT [s4s] culture. It's YOUR personal culture, and you're trying to force it into [s4s]. Before I realized you were truly trying to force it -- back when I thought you just really, really liked doremi -- I assumed you were already aware it wasn't [s4s] culture, and just wanted to share it with us because you liked it so much. Back then, when people would say "doremi is not [s4s] culture," I thought they were just being exclusionary. Now I see what you're really doing here, and it's not okay. If you want to share your interests with us, then, by all means, continue making threads about them and share away. But stop trying to oversaturate the catalog with your interests and turn [s4s] into a hub for them. [s4s] is for everyone.
[s4s] is really great because there's so few posters here that all those people that make you go "damn how can someone like that even exist" on other boards become a lot more visible and personal
