I hope they retcon this movie and remake it with a gay black Captain Marvel with Jussie Smollett as the lead. The conservative tears would be worth it.

Movie was below average, even without considering the political schenanigans behind the scenes and injected into the movie. Our main character might as well have been a cgi'd cardboard cutout. Sam Jackson was alright, but he wasn't really playing a role. The scene where he lost his eye was a travesty and undermines his character. How am I supposed to look at him and think badass when I know he had his eye clawed out at the whim of a kitten? Thats just among other glaring issues with the movie in of itself, the girl power circlejerking and all the super predictable plotpoints. They don't know how to make an interesting female lead anymore, I don't give a shit that she a woman, make her interesting. Marvel movies lack creativity. This was as bad as that overhyped dumpsterfire black panther.

Alan moore -used- to be good. He retired some time ago, because he hasn't done anything worth a fuck in the last decade.

but having a writer on for a short amount of time doing limited creation with their works is not the same as DC letting alan moore create works of art with their characters. the killing joke is amazing and something marvel would never allow because they dont let people change their "perfect" characters
