what is this? a picture for ants?

More difficult than you would expect.
Gotta have documentation for everything now, background checks, the like.

Bought an ar 15 in January. Took 10 minutes for background check and I was done. Very easy

Can't be a felon, illegal drug user, or have been involuntarily committed to a mental facility. Pass an instant background check. What kind of guns you can own largely depends on state law. Pic related is my favorite rifle, my Colt.

Rolan

It depends on the state, New York? Fuck... that. But anywhere in the south you can get anything short of an automatic weapon in about 15 minutes. There's literally a form that's like Are you depressed? Are you currently under a restraining order? Yes or no. That fucking easy.

I's boughten over 300 weapon. Iz vary simpler if you no crook. Ownly slight hard if you am.

also, if you are any of those things, you can still put one together in an afternoon if you aren't retarded. this part really seems to piss the commie faggots off even though Marx himself supported firearm possession

What’s state? Here in Cali we have a 10 day waiting period for the background check.

Most states, dumbass. California is an exception with their 10 day bullshit. In the majority of states the background check takes 5 min and you walk out with the gun.

I own a semi-full-automatic Glock-19 with a Duplo Supressor an 17 and1/2 mag clip stripper. The right wants to take it away but their agents might blast them until my rights are gone.

Extremely hard to get funs in shitty blue states.

Pretty easy in based red states.

In Kentucky you can go to a flea market and buy them from handguns to sometimes assult rifles. All of it without any background check whatsoever.

>assult rifles

semi-automatic rifles aren't assault rifles, dumbass

The waiting period is just to get the gun its an instant background check the 10 day period starts after you pass the NICS check. But yeah fuck CA/NY gun laws

Never go full retard

There's no such thing as an assault rifle. If an individual assaults another individual with a spork we don't call that spork an assault spork

>How easy is bought a weapon in America?

Very easy. Unlike the cucked English, you can go down to any local hardware store and buy an axe, hatchet, or sledgehammer. Or, you can go to any larger supermarket and buy a nice big knife.

Ar15s and sks are though. Thats what hes talking about. Its pretty fuckin easy to get one if you have the cash. Its called the gunshow clause or some shit. Any collector can occasionally sell something from his collection without doing background checks

This guy gets it big scary made up words to fool stupid people.

Every weapon pointed at a person = assault = every weapon = assault weapon. Point a spork at someone you assault them with said spork.

#banASSAULTsporks

Here in Florida they just passed a law in May that even without a license you have to wait 3 days to receive a rifle or shotgun. You used to just be able to buy them outright.
Assault rifles are automatic weapons, you need a Class III license and a good reason to own them.

Excluding private sales where one person just sells another person a gun for cash/trade, often called the "Gun show loophole"
Buying a long gun (rifle or shotgun): Be 18+, go to vendor with FFL (Federal Firearms License), select the gun you want, fill out ATF Form 4473 (your info, disclosures about any felonies, drug use, etc.), FFL holder calls the FBI to run the NICS (Background check), takes about 10-15 min., without any flags or delays then you have then bought that gun and it is transferred to your ownership.
Buying a pistol is a bit more complicated due to State laws on the matter. You still have the NICS check and all that stuff, but you may need a permit (Open/concealed carry, collector/range)

Assault rifles are real. Rifle in an intermediate cartridge and with selective-fire.
"Assault weapon" is the bullshit political term meaning "anything that idiots think looks scary."

Imagine the sound

put this one together and bought it in Colorado. It was very easy. I believe for having an AR you need a pretty squeaky clean record.
10-20 years ago you had to call your state bureau of investigation and wait 30 mins to an hour for them to get back to you.
Now with the internet they zap it through a computer it takes less then 10 mins for the background check.
Also bonus in the state of Colorado sale of 30 round and up mags are "illegal" but no law enforcement cares. Every gun show has shit tons of them no one cares.

You can buy one in America online using a credit card and have them shipped to your door. For that to happen you have to do a little work on a specific part called a 80% lower but once done you just put together and it is yours without even leaving the house. 'Merica, fuck yeah!

Attached: AR pistol cheapo.png (1090x712, 179K)

yeah but even an 80% isnt a whole gun dont you have to machiene the rest of it to spec?

You have to buy/make a lower receiver and cut out the parts and drills the holes. On an AR, the lower receiver takes none of the pressure from firing and so you can make one out of just about anything you can think of.

If you are good with hand tools it can be done in a matter of a few hours. A machine press it can be done in under an hour.

ahh that clears it up awesome thanks!

If you are a felon though you may have to go with an alternative gun such as a black powder to stay withing legal limits. While not ideal, this is still a weapon that can kill if you need to defend yourself.

It's very important to legally understand that anyone can buy a black powder pistol but you cannot load it if you're not allowed to have a firearm. It's a weird grey area.

I thought it was you could have loaded in your home but not loaded in your vehicle and not on your person.

that is pretty awesome dont those create giant clouds of smoke?

That may come down to state-by-state pistol laws. From my understanding, once it's loaded then it's a pistol and all laws are applicable. You could keep it in your home but if you shoot someone with it then you may not in the best position (Which really applies to any kind of gun. There are people who illegally have them but will never use them unless their life depends on it.)

In the state of Arizona, it is legal to pay cash for a handgun, rifle, or shotgun that you buy from a stranger without either of you knowing the other's name, as long as the gun and your possession of it are legal under Federal law. You don't need to notify any branch of government. You can then carry the weapon openly or concealed anywhere you like, except for a few restricted areas like schools, government buildings, stadiums, airports, etc. There is no requirement for a license, permit, registration, training, or waiting period.

Compliance with Federal law means that you must pass the instant FBI background check if you buy a gun from a licensed dealer, and you must not be a convicted felon, lunatic, or drug addict. You can't get a machine gun without a special Federal license.

I got this G2C on a recall. Came in the mail to my local gun store

Maybe an user can help me...
I was never arrested for anything but did have the FBI come with a search warrant because they thought I was a 1337 hackerman ISIS boy. Again, they took all my electronics and kept em for a year to analyze my life then gave em back. Would that stop me from passing a check. Again never charged for anything ever

>guns
>america
>purchase

If this isnt a troll thread ill go to bed

If you were never charged and your record is clean then it shouldn't pop. If there is a flag then you have some special circumstances where a lawyer may be able to get everything restored. Not sure if there's a way to run a self-check on the NICS to see if you would pass or not, maybe on the FBI or ATF website.

I have about 30 guns, from a pocket sized .380 pistol to a full sized .45 pistol to assault rifles to fine hunting rifles and shotguns. About half of them I bought privately for cash, and the government has no record that I own them.

Yes, but in a defensive use does it matter?

uh no but in a confined space it might create problems with shooting follow up rounds

Attached: FB_IMG_1553025200459.jpg (960x616, 35K)

Cool I didnt think itd be a problem since I've had background checks for work and been on military sites and passed background checks for that

If you were never charged, then you are NOT a felon, have never been convicted of a felony, have not renounced your citizenship... Have you ever been involuntarily put into a mental institution? You can look up the form (ATF 4473) you need to pass in order to purchase a gun in the USA. Some local communities try to impose more regulations, but those are not binding. Just don't show up looking like Charles Manson. Or Marilyn Manson.

I own a few, plan on getting a few more. Pretty easy to get, pay for it, pass the background check, in and out on the same trip.

>The Gentleperson's Guide to Forum Spies

bump

What's a good starter AR or other semi auto rifle for a noob. Only experience with guns is hunting rifles and shotguns

I'm 22 (live in Texas) and my dad got me a 9mm for Christmas. He owns a few hunting rifles and shotguns. My 9mm is going to mainly be a pig gun for the ranch since it's kinda bulky for self defence. It's pretty easy to purchase though, you just can't be a felon or have other issues that show up on a background check and go to a sporting goods store and buy a gun for $300-3000.

>be me
>graduate High school
>Be 18
>walk into store
>fill out papers
>Pay for gun in full
>got it 7 days later

whats your budget?

Go across the street, grab cat food, fill out gun form, get bread, milk, stop by gun counter and pick up a couple of shotguns, a rifle and hand gun with a few boxes of ammo. Remember to get cereal on the way out. Pretty much it all in one store
