not him, i dont know about vietnam but generally you need a degree to immigrate to other countries.
And because you're from the US you can't get Working Holiday visas anywhere either.
Unless you get lucky and say, get an office job that's willing to sponsor you for a work permit or you have a relative in another country that you can get a visa from then you're pretty much limited to the US my dude.

It's possible, but you'll be making jack shit as far as money. You will live like a poor person on those wages. Not exactly the best life lol but hey...it's possible to settle down there. But seriously dude, you run the risk of overstaying your visa no matter where you go. Eventually they will kick you out. I lived in Europe for 3 years illegally and it was hard to survive. But over in Asia, you'll stick out like a sore thumb and it just takes 1 cop to get ya. So be prepared to get scammed a lot, and be prepared to blow through that 10k faster than you dreamed. Cause eventually, you will run out of money, and then life is going to be complete SHITE.

Vietnam is one of the few SEA countries that don't bother with degrees. If you work in Thailand, then yes, you'll need a degree.

Back in the day I bought a fake degree online, came with transcripts and everything. I used it to teach English in Bogota,Colombia. I made $2500 a month doing that lol I was living like a king. But if you don't have a degree, your options are limited to Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and other poor as fuck Asian countries. And you sure as hell won't make 2.5k with no degree...or even with one tbh but with a degree you will make a lot more.

Just about every country in Europe. Lived in Alkmaar,NL for 1 year. Also lived in Clearbrook, which is a small village outside of Plymouth in the UK. I had an English gf at the time. She was hot...but yeah I also lived in Australia, Colombia, and I hitchhiked from California to NYC in a week...that was ballsy of me lol but at the time I just fucking did it.

I also joined the French foreign legion lol I lasted 1 fucking week before they kicked me out at Fort de Nogent in Paris.

Europe was my favorite continent. I was living and working all over from 2006-2010. But man oh man, there were a SHIT LOAD of immigrants in Europe back in those days, I can't even imagine how bad it is now. Those brown fuckers ruined that whole continent for me.

go backpacking in Canada for a year, learn from that experience or do like that other user said and go to Alaska or Vietnam if you want to try working somewhere different.

I've WWOOF'd at some pretty cool places. Some even pay money for more work, which is a god send when you're a traveler.

Some WWOOF places weren't even farms. PK's jungle village in Australia just had me wash dishes once a night and I got to stay there for 2 months in the fucking rain forest doing LSD and chilling on the beach everyday. It was cool/

i've had a couple of friends that did it.
One friend got lucky and got a really sweet deal.
Another friend got basically used for slave labor and had to sleep in a tent in the farmer's yard, didn't get food and the farmer refused to drive him into town or anything, so the dude had to hitchhike or walk 10 miles into town to buy shit.

Good advice though. OP read that guy's suggestion. It's a good way to cut down costs when traveling.

Also, volunteering at hostels will get you a free stay for like 3 days a week (4h a day) of just folding towels or sweeping.

Wow. That does sound shitty. Yeah, I've heard from other travelers about some horror stories just like that. Fortunately, I was quite lucky with the places I stayed at. The coolest was a completely furnished and abandoned hotel in Apeldoorn,NL. It was built for the prime minister and they just fucking abandoned it. I'm talking gourmet kitchen, over 100 rooms, and it was populated by 20 or so hippies..mostly Dutch hippies lol but yeah, it was really surreal.

But these days, you can do quite a bit of research and read reviews online to avoid those really bad places, cause yeah, they do exist!
