This is absolutely terrifying and exciting at the same time. The size and mass of one of the largest known black holes. The music is formidable and epic too.

Same poster, it's a GOOD video, one of the best I've seen on YTube in the 14 years I've been on the site.

What time was that picture taken at, user?

Don't recall the time, but the date's in the file name. Damn, it's been a while. Will be shooting again soon.

It's a stack of seven shots. EXIF says 21:58. They were seconds apart.

Elite Dangerous anyone?

>tfw you know all color photos of deep space are actually shopped

Attached: sywglt58ngg01.jpg (480x480, 42K)

Huh. No, I didn't know that.
I can't even remember doing that to this one I took during January's lunar eclipse.

Attached: OrionM42.jpg (1665x1039, 287K)

that's pretty cool, user. what are you using to take those?

Thanks!
Celestron C8 (2038mm f10 reflector) reduced with an adapter to 1280mm f/6.3 on a consumer-grade DSLR camera. One of these days I'll get out of the city and get a shot with good contrast on a black sky.

Hey there OP, can I download this to my personal computing device?

All of my photos are from the Hubble Space Telescope.

Of course, user.

Anyone got a picture of a black hole? Like, a real pic, none of that artist's interpretation crap.

I had a total eclipse pass over my town about 5 or 6 years ago.
Last time it was gunna happen in my country for 150 years.
Our town and ONLY our town got cucked by the ONLY cloud in the sky blocking the view for the 4 or 5 minutes that the eclipse was full.
I'm still fucking mad.

Attached: 1546839894232.jpg (374x374, 16K)

what is the universe?

Attached: black_hole (1).jpg (3000x2400, 838K)

what town do you live in?

I woulda been pissed if that happened, but what can you do? hundreds of years ago scientists/rich people would travel across the planet, only to have the same thing block out the eclipse. Though my 10 hour drive is not as bad as their year long trip on a shit boat getting diseases.

Attached: eclipse.jpg (1000x1500, 98K)

bags of sand

it was years ago when i lived in Japan

yeah that's it. cant be helped, but had I been like 5 miles down the road I would've seen it.
made it my life goal to try and see another eclipse at some point.

I'd love to see a comet bright enough even to see in the day.

Attached: comet_halebopp_death_valley.jpg (1200x1820, 129K)

you'll see Halley's Comet again around 2060 my dude.

Hey does anyone remember the name of that classic youtube song way back in the day when people made videos in windows movie maker?

They would have an instructional video and this song would always play, i think it was called soundscape or something
