Barr was selected for his job because he wrote documents stating that the POTUS can't be charged with Obstruction of Justice, and then made sure those docs ended up in front of Trump allies. They did, and Trump hired Barr.

For the last 2.5 years, the cornerstone argument of the Collusion question was that Donald Trump knowingly traded away our foreign policy on Russian sanctions at a time he knew Russia was attacking our Democratic process, and that he did it for his own enrichment. We find today that Mueller never investigated the money-for-sanctions-relief-quid-pro-quo allegations at all.
