I think having hidden, specifically targeted adverts disguised to look like social media posts and without the source of the advertising, or even that it is an advert being disclosed to the reader subverts normal electoral rules. As they are not in the public domain there is no way for the opposition candidate to know about them, nor any check on if they are factually accurate - most were not as far as is know, so they cannot be countered. For example, all TV adverts have to be endorsed by the candidate.

It was proven the Russians interfered in the election. It was proven they attempted to swing the election to Trump. Mueller has issued 37 indictments against Trump's toadies. There was ample evidence that Trump interfered with the investigation, and an independent AG would certainly have prosecuted him.

Trump is "innocent" in the same sense that OJ is "innocent."

In a nutshell, it's pretty normal campaign behaviour. They're all snakes. And if you charge someone with something everyone's doing you set precedent and everyone gets fucked. It's the same reason nothing came of the emails, the government is notoriously careless and incompetent.. a lot of senators on both sides do similar shit. Charge her and you have to charge them all.

These only become issues because in the eyes of you, the voter, it's a huge deal.

No man, the biggest issue here is that Russia interfered with the election at all. They're a political enemy. It should really scare you when their favoured politician wins the election regardless of if he worked with them or not.

I think that nu republicans (also libertarians - a.k.a. old-nu republicans) will purposely ignore and deny that it is ridiculous to take this mistrial of justice seriously anymore.

Imagine if Bill Cosby had been able to appoint his own hand-picked judge in his numerous sexual assault cases; no one would believe he was innocent but he'd still be legally untouchable.
