Actually, that's not true. Barr's report is a summary and was quoting Mueller's report.

But here's a couple of plain, legal facts:

1. Mueller's report said there is no evidence of collusion with Russian government or individuals by Trump or anyone in his orbit. That's a fact from the report. There is no evidence of any such crime happening at all and therefore there can be no exoneration.

2. In the legal sense, there is no "obstruction" when the claims against someone are false. Imagine someone being accused of a crime repeatedly defending himself in public by claiming he is innocent. The government finds him innocent but also files obstruction claims against the innocent man because he claimed he was innocent from the start. Does that sound right to you? tl;dr? It's not obstruction to say "I'm innocent."

The Mueller investigation has always been about Russian interference into the 2016 election. Some people in his administration have been indicted, convicted, and been placed in jail or prison related to this. Whether or not Trump was part of that himself was brought into question because, for some odd reason, he thought it was best to inject himself into it, called it a sham, encouraged others to attack it as well, attempted to obstruct justice by ending the investigation, and a variety of other stuff. Even if the investigation says nothing about Trump and Russia, it at least shows that he surrounds himself with criminals and he is completely unabashed about it. That in and of itself is appalling.
