I am a millenial, worked various jobs, a cleaner, a pot wash, a chef, a scientist, teacher, software developer. I think you are generalising because you are of low intelligence and think all millenials are equally equal in their abilities. Each generation has a distribution of people with various qualities.

I wouldn't take that pledge cause it's a bunch of bullshit, I have a buisness and before I started it I worked a bunch of shitty jobs. It's a bunch of bullshit, the whole point of starting a buisness is almost always to just exploit the labor of others to make more money for yourself. It's just how it works and I get people to come work at my nail salon, they get a 60% commission on pedicures and manicures, I get 40%, I do payroll and pay my shop supervisor 40,000 a year gross salary +commission, regular spa workers only get commission on sales, store rent is 4,200 a month.

I take home about 130k a year net from my salon after I pay my franchise fee and overhead and I barely do shit. That's life and it isn't fair, but people shouldn't have to work for me, I appreciate when they do, but I can say first hand, my job and the job I offer are worlds apart, I do less work and make more money.

I also have heard people say things to me like, ''you take more risk though cause you took out a loan to start your nail salon'', those people are fucking stupid if they think I ''risked'' money, I knew from the very start what I could expect in terms of revenue before I even opened my shop. Dealing with shitty customers, good ones, learning how "office politics" work will help you with this, assuming you have a basic attention span. It will even help during interviews. I consider myself a pretty hard working guy. I show up an hour early, and I leave an hour late everyday at work. More importantly, I don't complain about it. However, when I see certain jobs I still feel they are below me, even though I'm a dumbass college kid with no serious formal training. I do it anyways, because it's my job to do what the boss says. I think it's something inherent with the culture more than anything, because not everyone is willing to say no to that part of themselves.
