If your unhappy pick up a meaningful hobby and work at it for an hour a day, watching yourself incrementally improve at something over time gives you a slow growing but long lasting happiness, worked for me.

Well. I think that something meaningful and honest. Really like the way of your thinking, however, that was first positive thought for that day in my life.

op is right, i've kept myself hAppy for years doing this. being extremely good At something gives you one of the best feelings in the world, plus, you cAn AlwAys return to it when you're down

What do you think learning a skill is if not self-actualization? OP said meaningful hobby. Martial arts & music for me, = health & fitness, self confidence, self-expression, list is practically endless. Met people through both as well.

I practice Jiu Jitsu everyday and got good at it..It worked for me..
