Why do most bisexual people settle down with the opposite sex?

>The massive 2013 Pew Research LGBT Survey found 84 percent of self-identified bisexuals in committed relationships have a partner of the opposite sex, while only 9 percent are in same-sex relationships.

Because homosexuality is a mental disorder. Either they stick with it, or realize it's a phase, as in they like the attention of being different. Most people grow up.

Because most of their potential partners are straight people of the opposite sex.

This is the obvious answer. its a numbers game people.

Probably because they don't want to live a non-conformist life.

Always had some curiosity towards the same sex. Get on Yea Forums about 11 years ago, start craving trap dick along the way. Be me now, have wife. Recently just started hooking up with one of our friends. Jerked off my first dick in the process. Starting to explore bisexuality now but no way I can see myself like with a dude. No attraction to a male like that, dont think I'd like kissing a dude, just something about balls and dick.

Mostly this , but also maybe because guys like exist and will never accept bi people as legitimate, and they go with a partner that leaves them less publicly derided.

If you had the option of not dealing with homophobia, you'd probably do it.

Also, nice samefag OP.

Sorry, lemme be more clear - there are six posters between the seven posts (now eight) in this thread, and only two of them share a grammatical style AND the same homophobic argument. Prove me wrong and I'll apologize, but it seeeeeems like some samefaggotry

>there are six posters between the seven posts
No, there are 7 posters right now and 7 replies and you made two replies.
Liar.

I can't prove you wrong, as you've asked. But I can assure you that I was a first responder and not OP. Maybe I just interpret the data as incorrectly as he/she did.

Nah, this is me apologizing - sorry for my intense faggotry, y'all are two people and I'm retarded

Still disagree w/ you tho

More importantly: who fucking cares?

>Still disagree w/ you tho
I don't expect less. Bi the way, if there was a "phobia", it would be biphobia, not homophobia.

Wait what?
= me
= not me

Now you're just obfuscating the thread

hahaha this whole thread is fucked

My husband feels the same way

I replied to both people, what's confusing about that?

its misleading. Some people experiment decide they're mostly straight and then no longer claim to be bisexual.

Because bisexuality is just spicy heterosexuality.

This. I firmly believe most bisexuals are straight who are just opportunists with a, holes a hole kind of philosophy.

For the threesomes, of course.

M o F?

Gay people prefer to call them "breeders with a dick fetish".

What about women?

Nevermind. Yea Forums is useless for talking one on one. I actually like some of the other boards that anonymously id if you want.

5% of people are gay/bi/whatever

1000 men * 0.05 = 50 potential mates
1000 women * 0.95 = 950 potential mates

Also meeting a random man, only 5% chance he would be into your gender at all

random woman is 95%

But 66% of women wouldn't date a bisexual man.

>I love cocks. I don't find men attractive.
>I love anal, giving and receiving.
>I'm okay with vaginas, I find women attractive

That's why in my case.

Same goes with women, although I think women are a lot more open to homosexual relations. Far more than men, or at least more open about it.

Cuz dick + vagina is still the best combo

Tits or gtfo

>I think women are a lot more open to homosexual relations
I agree. However, I think this happens because there's a heavier stigma against homo relationships for men.

I agree. Lesbians will always be seen as hot by men but homosexuality is of course frowned upon and in most cases shunned.

statistics, like
said

If it wasn't frowned upon in the way it is I'd probably have tried some gay shit by now, but well, that's not the case

OP here. This thread turned out quite decent for what I expected of it when I made it.

Dated tons of "bi" girls.

They are just hetero but like variety

i think i am either settling with prostitutes or women

i realized i hate the faggot race

I am female and consider myself bi. And because I know someone will ask, I am with the opposite sex because that's just who I happened to fall in love with not because he is a male.

This pretty much sums up how most bi people I know feel.

"I think men/women are hot, I enjoy fucking around with them, I enjoy being physically close to them, but I'm not gay."

Part of it is definitely socially ingrained stigma, but part of it is also just that most bi people aren't that attracted to the same sex.

People have long since turned against the kinsey scale, but it's useful for situations like this.

A heterosexual bisexual couple? Interesting.

Homosexuality: ADJECTIVE
(of a person) sexually attracted to people of one's own sex.

Bisexuals are also homosexuals. It's not an either/or. Homosexuality is a subset.

>show titties

I've never thought of it that way but I guess, yeah.

I meant heterosexual as "M/F couple". I admit I could have word it better.

What's true in the dictionary isn't always true out in the world. Bi people may engage in homosexual behavior and relationships, they may experience homosexual attraction, but everyone and their brother would assume they're exclusively gay if they called themselves homosexuals.

Got it
You're still an idiot

Either way, the definition is accurate. There was nothing in what I posted that suggested exclusivity toward attraction. The definition stands.
